Just in time for Need for speed: Heat, I was planning to buy origin access for it. :D

Oh damn, I didn't know about the different tiers of origin access. Well at least I could try it out for 10hours.

Last day. Just in time to run away from Steam's performance hogging update.

just to make sure
the 2FA with email or phone it doesnt matter right ?!!! or you need to activate it with the phone ?!!

Doesn't matter. It's great they give options like this, instead of only a phone number.

When you activated it has no bearing on the previous comment.

"You’ll get your month of Origin Access Basic starting on or after November 1, 2019. If you don’t get your free* month right away, please wait a few days."
Hopefully soon

Well at least this cant be as bad as the experience i had with uplay+ i signed up day one and couldnt get it activated no matter how many times i talked to support. That experience left a sour taste in my mouth and in the end they still kept sending me emails to try and sign up after it went full price hoping i would be dumb enough to just spend money on their service after the ordeal.

If only you could read, you would notice that "If you don’t get your free* month right away, please wait a few days". EA's definition of "few days" is something similar to Valve time tho.

easy there.
EA says quote "If you don’t get your free month right away, please wait a few days." - technically speaking "a few" means "a small number of", but "small" is a very relative term. Compared to eternity it might very well be 7 days, or 20... or 9000 :)
If you feel like you've been cheated by EA you can defend your right to a free month of Origin Access in court.

considering the 1st of the month happened during weekend, they are not working atm and they'll start delivering the free trial in the next week...
I mean EA BAAAAAAAAAD !

"Stop lying..."
lol as if that user has any power over this promotion.

Nothing happen in Asia, even Europe, weird, is this a joke mate ?

Jesus Christ, dude. Just wait, we're coming off a weekend. Even if this doesn't push through, it's not the end of the world. It's a good bet nobody here can answer you with any certainty what is happening. Calm down.

I doubt I'll have time to play any of the games. But 2FA is a good thing to enable anyway

Per an EA rep in the Origin subreddit, they are currently investigating why people haven't got their free month yet.

I'm guessing that tab doesn't show if you haven't had a subscription.

Has anyone actually got the free month? If it didn't activate for ANYONE in the whole world, why did they only start investigating it 16 hours ago, according to the subreddit mentioned above? It's baffling how unprofessional some of these IT tech companies are, when stuff like that is the central part of their whole job. The UPlay experience (as mentioned by Xitau above, and other examples) and my own Microsoft Xbox Live experience (their shop system, the convoluted mix with the Windows Store, rubbish translations and thus involuntary misinformation for non-english users...) are other examples. Incompetence like that really pushes my buttons...

+1
If I was half incompetent in my work, I'd have been fired day one.

"You'll need to turn it on before the end of October. The free month will begin on or about November 1 (it might take a few days for the wheels to start turning) as long as you've got 2FA enabled on Origin before the end of October. If you're already an Origin Access Basic subscriber, you won't be billed for November, and if you're an Access Premier subscriber you'll get a free month of that instead. And if you've already got 2FA enabled? Free month for you too."
Pretty great stuff. A Way Out, Anthem, bunch of Need For Speed games, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Vampyr are just a few of the good titles in there. For people wondering, here are the differences between Access Basic and Premiere:
What you get with EA Origin Basic ($3.99 per month or $24.99 per year)
What you get with EA Origin Premiere ($14.99 per month or $99.99 per year)
So, Basic has what matters, which is all the games. Here's the full list.
