I will try to put you in situation (sorry for my bad english first at all)

I usually do a lot of GAs with a lot of copies, and it is very usual that 10 or more of the winners ask for a reroll because they already forgot to exit, or they won it minutes after or whatever reason.

In those cases I made the ticket for the reroll and another user receive the key.

Well, Some days ago, One user asked for a reroll, I created the ticket, reroll was accepted and another winner gets the key and says it was used.

I'm pretty sure that the key was ok from the shop when y paste in SG, so, it is very clear that the first winner used the key in another account and then asked for a reroll.

I know that I have now to give another key to the new winner, but I don't know what is the best way to advice admins about the behaviour of the first winner...

any tip of my loved steamgifters?

Thanks in advance and kind regards.

well, some shops (like humble) are able to revoke the old key and provide a new one. Even if you'd report the previous winner because of a guess it might take months until the support is able to read the ticket because of their backlog.

you could attempt to explain the situation to the new winner - and then ask them if they would be willing to allow for the giveaway to be deleted - and apologise again for the whole thing. But I would also make a ticket raising the issue with support about how this situation came about !

The GA have another 39 winners, that is not an option, I don't want to give problems to other users. I know that I have no option to give a new key to the winner.

My concern is about I know that support could delay months or years to read the ticket about the "bad apple" user, and that user could repeat the trick more times...

alas that is true - but you can only report your concerns and move on - they will eventually get to it - sorry it happened to you, but it is becoming all to common it appears :( - just remember to prevent the user form entering your giveaways in the future, as is your right if you believe they are taking part in such schemes

Reporting could be useful anyway, in case the user who maybe used the key has already done it in the past, or is planning to do it again in the future.

I mean he won't have problems without evidence, which is good because he could very well be innocent - but at least support will keep a trace in case it happens again with another win.

Try to contact the key seller, tell them that the key was already used, maybe they'll revoke that key and give you another one

Can I ask you where you got the key from? As oclaymoreo said, some sellers can revoke the key and even see which account it was used. So in this case you can detect if there is a connection between first winner and the account the key was used.

I waited some hours, but I didn't checked all the winners (my fault), it was some GAs ended at the same time with 39/40 winners everyone and I did the lazy way.

A ticket is already open for the "bad apple" user, but it is very probably that it won't be readed for some months.

Not much to do now beside sending support ticket.
Maybe check winners for owning the game before revealing the key?

i can't believe so many people falsely believe that bundle companies can actually revoke.

i think all you can really do is a support ticket here. it will probably take ~6months to resolve, but technically they can bump it to an admin to have the re-roll till the prior winner is the winner once again, and then change their feedback to received. -- the admin's que will literally take approx 4-6months+ though, so the new winner will probably have to mark it not received until admin corrects it.

it is very clear that the first winner used the key in another account and then asked for a reroll

Isn't it uncertain, though? What if the second winner used the key on another account and then claimed it was used? Or if the key was indeed used from the beginning?

For me not.

It was hundreds of keys from the same retailer without any problem.

And I have reasons after talk with both users to be sure that the first winner to think bad of the first winner.

But, everything is in hand of the admins. I only asking for tips here.
