It's great, its the 2nd best one if you ask me...It's not Metal Gear at all, actually Puts up flame shield, I don't even really like Metal Gear...I don't remember if there was a map, I rarely use them in games so probably looked past it.
If you are not the biggest Hitman fan you will probably have 0 issues with it, some Hitman fans felt it was to linear, compared to most games thats not even close to true, each level has various ways of executing it and the level design is well thought out.

I liked new Hitman. But it is linear in many places. How many ways are there to win Orphanage Basement, or that Burning Hotel Escape, or that sneaky-fog level? There are many levels where you can either just sneak-by or kill everyone.
Doesn't change the fact it's great fun.

Couple areas are like that but those honestly felt done on purpose to give a cinematic feel if that makes sense, I don't mind them.

Personally I like stuff like that in games and these were very very well done, it breaks up the monotony.

Hahah, some games has fanatics. I really like Metal Gear series but i wouldn't prefer use profanity like others: "What you don't like Bioshock, screw you then! #$&%!" :D
Level design is also important. So, that sounds awesome!

I would love this game if it wasn't for the bad design choices and certain mechanics that should not be...but opinions, right? Some love those things about it...

Already have it. But that game has serious problems on PC, even with unofficial fix.

Ask yourself if you would go your entire life without having intercourse, if the answer is yes you dont deserve hitman, If it is no well buy the game

It's not the best Hitman in the series but it definately could have been worse. The contracts mode feels more like a compensation for not being able to choose/customize your weapons in the campaign missions. Not the awesome multiplayer experience that was promised, fortunately it does deliver replayability. Though i rather prefer it the old way where you choose your tools before the mission.
On the other hand i did like the atmosphere and i think dev's didn't really break from tradition. It still feels like a Hitman Game. Also the story and locations are very much like should be. At least for me. If you like the Hitman series a lot I'd definately consider buying it when i see a nice deal.

I like stealth games for sure. So, another question about Hitman Absolution got a positive answer. Great!

I know. But when you hear Hitman you usually think "Blood Money", so it's important to note Absolution isn't Blood Money v2, but completely different game, so you won't expect more BM.
Great game anyway, and quite long - when I played my 1st playthrough on hard I had over 40 hours on Steam near end. But if I'd play it on normal first then on hard I think I could make same time anyway - on hard you don't get tips about useful items, so you don't know if you can use something, where you can't go, etc. So you're a bit "blind" if you start playing Absolution from hard (or higher).

More like Absoluteshit
One of the worst games in 2012 and absolute disgrace for the Hitman series

Well, i went ahead and bought it a few months ago. To be honest i didn't find it as hard as say Blood Money, or 2 (much less even the first one), but some parts were challenging.
The idea of getting recognized even when using a different costume is not that crazy if you think about it and hear the lines of those who have the same suit, it's quite logical, however in higher difficulties disguising is just useless, and it's far better to just stay out of sight completely.
The addition of that "sense" is quite strange, but to be honest it hindered the gameplay to me, since it makes the whole thing easier, and sometimes you end up using it much more than you'd think (kinda like detective mode in Arkham Asylum), so if you really like a challenge, or you're finding the game too easy, go for proffesional difficulty and blend in with the walls, not your enemies.
I guess it ultimately depends on what kind of experience are you expecting out of it, if you're not a hardcore stealth game fan, or you're not one of those hardcore Hitman fans, then go ahead, you'll have some fun, but then again, the real complexity comes in the higher difficulty levels, as those are the ones that really force you to think outside the box.

I really enjoyed it. The disguise mechanic might seem broken, but I can see what the developers were trying to do with it. You might hate it, like it or just be able to tolerate it, as I did.
Other than that, the game is just so amazingly in-depth. The amount of level mini-challenges and ways to dispatch of targets was just so much fun for me. Personally, I would wait for a sale, because I normally don't buy games full price. But that's just me. (And probably about 75% of pc gamers) :)

It's not bad but...
If you are a true fan of the older games this will probably disappoint you. I got the game on launch date on 360 and only played the first 4 levels before i put it away.
It just wasn't as captivating as the previous games and that made me sad. I played the shit out of all the previous Hitman games.
edit: If you do decide to buy it, please play it on the hardest diffuculty for the best Hitman expierence you can get out of this game.

The stealth is really odd. You can wear a disguise but everyone seems to be able to see right through it. The only way to sneak around it to crouch around and roll from cover to cover. Since you have to avoid being seen at all rather than blend in it makes it feel like Metal Gear or Splinter Cell.
Worth playing for the current price, but don't expect old Hitman.

Hello guys!
I read many comments about that game, most of people complained about it, some of them says "it's not that bad". What do you think about it?
I'm not obsessed with old Hitman titles, so i don't care if it feels like oldies or not (my favourite is Hitman 2 though). Someone complained about that game being a "Metal Gear Absolution" with some kind of shitty drama but it's ok for me as well. A weird site complained about if you wear a mask they can identify you easily, but it sounded silly. Also there is a complain about there is no map, ehhh, that sounds great actually (probably some new generation gamer).
Please, share your opinions with me. I'm planning to buy it tomorrow :)
