3DS games recomendation

i recently bought a 3DS XL with monster hunter and i'm looking for recomendation of games to play. my favorite genres are RPG and strategy. My wishlist is currently fire emblem and devil survivor overclocked.
Feel free to recomend any game that you like. I'm a gamer that enjoyes all kind of experiences.
It is also important to note that i skipped the DS generation so you are free to recomend any of those "old" games too.
My 3DS library is:

  • tales of the abyss (playing now)
  • zelda ocarina of time (backlog)
  • ace combat (finished)
  • ghost recon shadow wars (finished)
  • monster hunter 3 (playing now)

My DS library is:

  • zelda spirit tracks (playing)
  • both advance wars (war room is giving me some trouble to clear)

tl;dr: recomend me some good or excelent 3DS or DS games.

  • disgaea DS - my first disgaea was the number 4 for the PS3, i had no idea that there was disgaea outside the playstations. this game will be added to my wishlist
  • luminous arc 1 and 2 - i don't know these games, if you have time i would like to know more
  • both advance wars - i have them and i almost finished them

  • Golden Sun Dark Dawn - i never played a golden sun, what kind of game is it

  • chrono trigger - i didn't know english when i played SNES, this seems a great oportunity to play this game!

  • Okamiden - i'll be playing okami HD this summer so i'll probably buy this when after i finish okami

SMT 4 doesn't seem to have an european released date...
i'm still waiting for more info about pokemon x or Y before comiting myself to a purchase.
I'm on the look out for pokemon white, i have liked what i have seen.
golden sun, can you talk a bit about this game?
talesof heart and innocence, isn't the 3DS region locked? does this jap game haven english subs? i still don't know how to read japanese... :(

I heard there's a translation patch for the 2 tales of games I mentioned but not sure, but there is high hopes for the PS Vita versions to get a EU release soon after Xillia. SMT 4 will get a world wide release date soon. Also yesterday they announced some new games from Nintendo Direct, there's Yoshi's Island 3d, Legend of Zelda: Link to the past 2 and Mario & Luigi Dream team.

There are some excellent suggestions here, but one I didn't notice that was quite fun is Henry Hatsworth in A Puzzling Adventure. It's a very unique game that simultaneously combines a puzzle game (on the bottom screen) and a side-scrolling platformer on the top screen. They interact by utilizing the puzzle to power up and reload and such.

It's also hard to fault the theme. Any game where your power-up mode is called "TEA TIME!" and involves turning into a very British steampunk mecha before going on to pummel enemies deserves notice in my mind.

Pokémon Conquest is far better then it looks at first sight, endless hours of fun, even if you don't really like Pokémon.
Kingdom Hearts 385/2 Days is a very enjoyable game, that in my opinion beats DDD.
