I'm keeping my subscription up for one month to test.
If the bundle is crap, I'll cancel.
If they charge me more than they say they will, I will make a paypal claim and cancel.

For the $1.5 version, it's recurring and you can only get it via Credit Cards or PayPal.
For the $2.5 version, it's one time and you can get it via: Credit Cards, G2A Wallet, Bitcoins, Skrill, PayPal, paysafecard, Alipay, Pay by Steam Skin, Neteller.
As you can see the second version has multiple payment options as compared to the first one.
If one has PayPal, one can choose the $1.5 version and cancel the recurring payment afterwards.

So buyng the 1.5 and than subscribing is not dangerous or tricky in any way, right?
Theoretically, as long as you make sure to unsubscribe from PayPal's end too, there shouldn't be any problem. By subscribing, you give them the right to charge you without the need for your confirmation. So I suggest removing your subscription immediately after you buy the bundle. Unless you cancel that recurring payment you will be charged each month from now on as long as you have funds so make sure you cancel it if you don't plan to pay each month.

It would be MUCH worse if you accidentally left their Shield activated as you paid, as many people had that problem..

Two things:
If you have a G2APay account, you can permanently turn off the shield option so that you can never accidently activate it again. In other words, set it and forget it.
With this specific bundle, Paypal is processed in a way that it doesn't go through the normal G2APay process, so there is no shield option offered or involved with this.

Could you point me where it can be turned off permanently?
It's turned off in my settings, but on every purchase I need to disable it at least twice (it's checked by default, adding additional 3 euro to price).
Update: I'm talking about buying from marketplace, not about that G2A bundle.

as far as i read correctly the difference is just for the first month?
it says first month is 1.50€ and the following 2.49€
not sure if you get the 1.50 option after you cancelled once already
