So I'm curious if you, people of the SG community occasionally play Cards Against Humanity in groups and if not are you interested in doing so?

Update: I've created a steam group, so everyone who wanted to play can join and we will try to set up a game occasionally

Sounds like a good idea
This game triggers all of my 9000 triggers
Be gone, your presence offends me more than that game

Would play it (along with tabletop simulator) if i had friends who like those kind of games.

Well I also don't have friends who are into this stuff and that's why I'm asking here. Isn't the tabletop simulator still in early access though?

Tabletop Simulator is early access, but if you ask me or any of the people whom I know who play it, you'll find that it's more than worth purchasing at it's full asking price. the devs could abandon the game tomorrow and I wouldn't feel ripped off (that being said, I rather they not abandon the game)

that being sad, xyzzy is still the way to go from what I hear, playing CAH in TTS isn't as smooth as xyzzy

I know. I meant to play it online with the SG community obviously, not the physical card version

I have no idea of what it means but today I found one in TBOI Rebirth and it got the room full of poop

The item is a reference to Cards Against Humanity, a satirical card game whose name in turn references "crimes against humanity". Specifically, it may refer to the answer card which reads "Pooping back and forth. Forever."

No problem :D I'm actually dying to play TBOI Rebirth but I really want to get 100% of the achievements on the vanilla BOI

I have played the physical game and the mod for tabletop simulator. Both were hilarious and filled with good times. Never played it online like that though.

It can be quite boring because of the lack of interaction between random people playing there so that's why I wanted to play in a group but there are some custom decks added from what I've seen.

I tried hosting a cards against humanity game for SG the other day. I got a few people to join but it didn't go too well. If we could get a steam group for it though maybe that would work?

I'm sure there are plenty of steam groups for that already. The thing is it would be better to play with strangers from SG than just strangers from steam.

Yep I was hoping for that too but good luck getting it to work. Maybe you could try making a group just for people on SG to join?

Well we should probabl try to find them here first anyway. We'll try to figure something once we get some people in here

I've played it a bunch of times, but it gets pretty boring after the shock value of the cards wears off though.

I thinks it can get pretty boring if you play it too often or if you only have a few decks. This online version looks like it has a lot to offer and maybe it gets updated with new decks

I play it online since it's in English and not many of my friends can understand it.

I'd play, I've played it a few times on xyzzy and it's great!

I've also played you don't know jack on the browser and board game online, both are also fun (in different ways of course) :>

feel free to add me if you get a game going!

I tried playing it in Tabletop Simulator on Steam recently, and the design it used ran rather poorly.
Hopefully there are better made mods for it.

How would you propose we play it over the internet, anyway?

I've played it on here a few times, it runs real smoothly! It's not the prettiest site in the world but it definitely gets the job done, easy to set up and get a game going.

Thanks for that!
Was actually recently playing with friends over an Android app called Evil Apples, but it is too buggy, and irrecoverably broke itself after the first game I won. Don't know if the dev intends to fix it any time soon or not.

I got 2 special sets of cards against humanity cards from PAX Prime :P

The online version contains all of the released card sets and even some custom ones

But you don't physically own anything and the online version is not funny like it is in real life. The PAX cards have never been released. You had to be at PAX to get them.

I'm aware of all the disadvantages that you mentioned but what if you don't have people to play it with in real life and you can't go to PAX because you don't live in the US

Then that sucks because you are missing out on the real game.

What's the point in playing this cardgame online?

Takes away most of the fun when not sitting face to face in my opinion.
