Is it possible to giveaway key you got from WGN?

I can clearly see some giveaways are from WGN giveaway-ed key.Should I report these giveaways or just leave it be? sorry if this is another 'one of those thread'

I know they are against the rules of the group to giveaway suck keys. But I'm not sure what the rules say about it here. You'd better off reporting them at the group website. I think the key abusers(?) are given a badge to shame them or something like that.

No, key are permanent, unless the developers explicitly ask Steam to disable a certain key.

Maybe, I'm not sure about that. But it'll be more prudent to just drop a line to Carl at the group website. I think they are already aware about how some people are abusing it. I'm sure they'll fix it soon.

Permanent, but if you got reported for giving away a free key for profit, the key will be useless, or even revoked from your account.

Yes report them to the group because it's clearly a violation of group rules to give them away. The rules state that the key is only for the giftee's personal use and activation only. Anyone who gives the keys away risks not being able to earn any more games like that from WGN, Carlmundo takes it really seriously.

Like others have said, you'll get banned from further promo's on WGN if caught giving them away anywhere, or not activating them on your account. It will also net you the "Scumbadge Steve" badge on WGN's site :D

As for the stance of mods here on SG? I think they'd definitely frown on the practise, perhaps toss a suspension or two out to people, as you're not allowed to give away free promo / exploited keys.

You know it'S from WGN, because it's given away right at the time, when e-mails arrive with the game key. You can give it away in a key drop, or any other way, in which you don't get profit for a free game. Carl is really kind for teaming up with devs, and giving games for free with just a vote, and unfortunately more and more people are abusing his kindness. That's a shame.
