What's that all about? Game is free, is this a DLC or what?

Went F2P recently - did you activate a free Alienware Key or the one from HB? Its part of their update announcement ... for early contributors to the game unlocking the progression as if it were the paid version ... http://steamcommunity.com/games/375230/announcements/detail/246974483981292543

I have no idea if the giveaways are legit. There's a discussion in this giveaway

Be careful when entering or else you might get suspended if it doesn't match

You will not suspend for anything. The GA creator is just mad and blacklist everyone.

Be careful of this user; he is falsely reporting winners as not activating. I'm awaiting a response from SG support center to provide proof to them that he is creating false reports on users.

That's what you claim, if you give away something that will have a different appid then what you are giving away (even when both are called Warhammer Dlc!) then it's still not the right giveaway, regardless if they are named the same, look the same.
Now with DLC it won't show up on Sgtools, but if it was a regular game it would have and then the winner would not have received the correct item, that's what people tried telling you.

This isn't provided to Alienware giveaway users to my knowledge.
It's provided by the developers for owning the game before F2P was activated. It was given to owners only recently because the developers were arranging things with Valve.
Before it went free to play the game was a commercial product & was part of the Humble Bandai Namco 2 Bundle; not the base tier either. (I'm not sure which tier it was in... just that I bought one of the higher tiers.)
The item sends exactly as listed in Steam inventory & Steam send a confirmation email to confirm gift was sent listing it as the DLC indicated.
The Squadron DLC is in game credits (worth $20... translating to 20,000 credits meaning the DLC is basically similar to Bioware points) & will unlock classes instantly apparently. However, to my knowledge, the classes can be unlocked for free anyways... this just provides a time bonus. It adds nothing else to the game that is not in the "base edition". For further items you have to buy other DLC.
It's a inventory gift "thank you" from the developers because they changed some of the intended structures of the game on early access purchasers.
