I am new to making giveaways. But I am about to make a reroll on a third reroll on a second public giveaway because these winners kept ignoring me for a week and eventually marked it 'not received'.

I already stopped making public giveaways and started with private ones, and it is much more efficient. However, there has to be a better way to deal with this, right?

Solution for You:

Contact with winner on steam and give him code during conversation.

Both ignored my friend request and the comment I left later on their profile

You might have been unlucky. Usually it doesn't take more then 24h for a winner to mark as received, even on public lvl0 giveaways.

This js the case in almost every private giveaway. It seems a fairytale in public ones.

^ that. I've made over 100 giveaways, most of them public, and I've never had any significant problems.

About half of my giveaways are for level 0 and majority of them are public. I never had any problems so far. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones?

There I highlighted the sentence that matters. It's not about time, I have plenty of it.

Those winners just don't want to win their gift, and that bothers me.

Your old threads show you don't have much patience.

'old'

Yes I am still learning. And now I am getting triggered by winners that don't accept their win and make me do a reroll.

You may have a problem with one winner marking as not recieved. But the others awaiting feedback ended 3 and 6 hours ago.

You are also reluctant in reading just like the person below! Great!

This isn't the first time I have to reroll, and I only made so few giveaways.
So I think if I make more public giveaways I have to keep rerolling every time.

I read the whole thing. I'm just taking your past posts and low number of giveaways into account in regard to "getting tired".
Also, higher level giveaways tend to have less problems. But I still have to reroll often.

Fine, if 'getting fed up' sounds less like a problem to you.

And yes I will start making level 1 giveaways soon, and higher when my own level gets higher.

You made two public giveaways and since you got one winner that didn't behave properly you got 'tired' of public giveaways? That's not a good statistical base for that decision to say the least ;)

You are reluctant in reading! Nice!

I already said I rerolled before.

If I rerolled the one marked as not received;
3 rerolls on 2 giveaways.

Increase the level then. Didn't know that level 0 giveaways became this problematic. You should try (if you aren't too tired) to make a level 2 giveaway and see the 'result' there.

You are not alone if that makes you feel better.
Increase the level or make forum giveaways and you will have less problems.

I've made 8 public giveaways so far, all of them marked received within 48 hours, most of them within 12. Maybe increase the level to 1+? I've found that people who have had to deal with waiting for other people to click the "received" button are usually more prompt in clicking it themselves.

I think I am gonna try that in my more expensive public giveaways next week, which will contain the Bioshock triology.

I would recommend making giveaways that require a level of 1 or greater. These are people who have given away things before, and so they should care and understand the rules.

If you want a better experience, making giveaways for users of a high level will typically go smoothly. I started making public giveaways for 4+, and I haven't had any serious issues since.

4+ won't save you. I just got a high level (8+, trying to not make it obvious) perm suspended.

I've done over 800 public GAs, for the most part no issues. I would suggest 1+ though, since the requirement is to only give one game, regardless of price. Usually as the level goes up, the less issues, but that's not a rule.

Edit: you can try look at this way. By doing public, and checking your winners, you are helping SG by punishing rule breakers. Maybe not the answer you want, but it's something.

oooohh you beast you - actually, no wait, well done there, well done - hmmm, now I'm conflicted - well props for caring :) that's okay and works - but I agree, higher level does not = easy peasy dealings :)

Yes they are yes it is!
Higher level gas, region restrictions, private links with puzzles or other kind of recruitment? rules in description? - SGTools too, and hard punishments if link is leaked. :P
Since it's REAL easy to reach lv1 and 2, despite I don't do gas so often as I'd like (money and region restrictions), I tend to avoid lower levels precisely for having a higher chance of problems.
Many started doing whitelist only gas, but you know, there're plenty users out there that are worth having and WL would exclude them likely for no reason, so...

It all depends, really. It's ugly to have to chase them so they mark as received, holding you back from your free-slots, your cv increase and ofc your game that wont return.
Edit: see that you're pretty new, and you're already doing private gas. Alright, it's a start :)

Good luck Jordi

Did you add them on steam and sent them an e-mail, but they still marked it as not received? If yes, then I guess it's just bad luck. ;P No need to put restrictions in your giveaways, but why not make a puzzle and make it harder for them? ;P

Yes, and I already made a puzzle that led to a private giveaway, which is pretty funny to do but costs more time :)

match your lvl at least imo ;) thats been my rule of thumb and it rarely works out poorly. generally your lvl or maybe even one lvl above yours. or yea, the private route.
