Hi SteamGibe,

I want to "recruit" someone to make a basic coding job, the problem is, I have no idea at all where to recruit potential volunteers, and I have no idea how I should pay them for the job (I don't know how time-consuming/difficult is the job, I don't know how much is one's time worth).

Any ideas are welcome.

Dirt Showdown

It's the first time I use SG Tools, I don't understand it fully yet, hope I didn't do any mistake.

There is no rules in SG Tools so basically, everyone can enter. When you find potential coder just ask him how much he wants ( every task is different and needs separate valuation )

Are you sure about SGtools ? A few seconds after posting the thread I checked and noticed the activation and VAC rules were unchecked, so I checked them again.

Also, thanks for the advice.

SG can be a good place to find one.. There are a lot of people.. What type of coder? Game? Software? Web? Machine? What type of project we are talking about?

It consists of updating a javascript browser add-on to make it compatible with the latest version of Cookie Clicker. The add-on is already written, available on github, but the recent update broke it.

Here in SG are many programmers and

https://www.reddit.com/r/slavelabour

Here you cand find coders by project and see how payment stuff works, usually is by project

I could do it, in a future maybe if my lack of attention and future pills and therapy allows me

I'm thinking about Archi, but not sure if do spare projects

Thanks a lot, I had no idea this existed. I would have to fully understand the how to's before posting my assignment there.

Depends on the person on what the price will be. Some people want to be payed by the hour, others per project. And some might even be happy to do it for a simple thank you (if the project is small) or something small, like a bundled game or so.

reddit has a lot of subreddits for coders :) I don't know the one you need, but you can easily find it by searching ;)

Thank you. I'm not at ease using reddit (I mean more than lurking) but I'll consider posting there

Thank you. To be honest I'm a bit intimidated by such places because it looks so formal, and I feel as if my request would better fit a gamer, or someone familiar with cookie clicker itself.

But still a good idea, adding it to my 'maybe' list :-D
