But it's the weekend, so let's celebrate it with a mini train. Levels 3-4. It's open for 24 hours. Hope you like it.

You probably stopped reading right there, but I thought I'd ask. I'm just getting into CS:GO. I'm considering getting Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. Which edition should I get: Standard or Deluxe? Is it worth it?

ETA: Yes, I messed up and made the GAs public. I guess you can find them all together now?

ETA 2: Keys have been sent to the winners Please don't forget to mark as received. If there's any problem with the key, just let me know.
Thanks everyone for participating! I hope you have better luck next time! And thanks to everyone who gave me advice about the game.
:)

Which Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege edition should I get?

Standard Edition
Deluxe Edition

I would go for Deluxe, it's only 2 euro difference and you get extra 16 operators.

With regional pricing, there's not too much difference either, so I think I might go for Deluxe. Thanks!

I second this. This is one of the only cases where I would say just give in and pay to skip the grind, because it is unbelievably time-consuming. Judging from my playtime, that $2 will skip 400 hours of grinding.

Happy Early Birthday (*p'Θ'q)♪ 🎂
Not SG Cakeday?

Questions are difficult to answer. (My memory is bad)
Deluxe version?
Available to some operators from the beginning.
(Such a difference?)
Perhaps other FPS games (you're playing CS, right?) In that situation, I feel that the deluxe version is better.
If not, it seems that it will be solved by playing over time.

Thanks for that non-birthday non-cakeday cake!
That seems to be the consensus, so I might end up getting the Deluxe version.

Nope, I'm an idiot. I did the train by hand because I'm old-school and I realized too late. Thanks for letting me know, though.

Thanks for being so understanding. I made them all with a planned start time, but it was like 10 minutes or so, so I had to rush to create them all and put up the links. I'll pay more attention next time :D

Some people may need to leave right away, lol

Hard to say about the recommendation. If you think you'll play a lot, get the deluxe. I suck at shooters, especially ones like that. If you rage like me, don't buy it at all :)

The Siege community is really toxic so i'd say just stay away from the game unless you don't mind the toxicity.

i haven't played it since 2018 and back then ppl used to teamkill a lot of the time. i doubt it has changed much so just thought i'd let u know what you might be getting into.

Thanks for the warning. That's what I read, it seems to be really bad. I thought the game looked cool. Too bad that some people ruin it for the rest of us :(

To be fair, all multiplayer games that are pvp are quite toxic, so I don't think that should discourage you from getting into a game you really wanna play :]

Yo, happy weekend.
I've been playing csgo for a few years and they are quite different with R6 Siege. I just started playing R6 a few days ago and I think you should definitely buy the deluxe edition.
Keep in mind that the basic operators will still be locked, it only includes first and second years' DLC operators. So you'll need to spend some "points" to unlock them. But they are fairly cheap (unlike newer operators, they are absurdly expensive), and you can win these points by just watching tutorial videos or the tutorial levels (with little achievements).

I'd go with Deluxe edition, if you really want to invest time seriously in playing this game. The game has been going for a long time, so I think it really has a strong community

if I am not late to the party, I recommend Deluxe edition for sure, the grinding is way too much and not having to grind the year 1 and 2 ops would have been a blessing for me.

I also recommend to have some friends and to be prepared to invest some time into learning angles, maps, operators and recoil of weapons. And do not get upset if you are not doing okay at the start. This game is pretty rough for newbies and very unforgiving, you litteraly have to bite through it and endure pain. But after you learn it, you are going to have a blast, especially trolling with operators in quick play and playing only pistol rounds.

You're not late at all! There's still a price reduction until the end of the month, so I'm taking all suggestions into account. Thanks for such a detailed answer. I'm just getting into this kind of game because I really do suck. That's why I only stuck to Monkey Island-style games for so long. But I like these. I'm not doing that well at CS:GO either, but I'm slowly learning. Thanks again!

The beginning and getting into the game is toxic. People might teamkill you for doing some things bad. Listen to what other people say and ask questions. Sometimes you might get an generic toxic answer aka your mom, but do not let that discrourage you. I have about 300+ hours in the game and it is really fun and way better than CS:GO, because you actually learn this game, you learn angles, timing, runouts, spots, and the abilities + weapons. It is really a game of learning more than you grab it and you know what you are doing.

I can recommend go and watch some twitch streamers who seem to know what they are doing, getting kills and have up to (maximum) 100 viewers. This way, if you want to ask something, like why the streamer reinforced such wall, why is their gadget placed on that spot and so on, you might actually get an answer that will help you and they will be happy to have an interaction with chat :) People love to talk about themselves, so they will most possibly explain why they did it.

Other than that, try reddit's Siege Academy and you can ask your questions there

or you can play with somebody experienced who is your friend and is willing to coach you. If you understand the basics and learn how to hold angles, all you'll have to do next is learn spray pattern (recoil) of weapons and polish your aim and you are set to go :)
