Depends if were talking foot forces, characters or ships. I love republic, they have much more diverse characters (empire jas some great too, but much less), much more diverse foot soldiers, bit when it comes to ships empire wins all the way. Empire ships are amazing, beautiful and easilly beat republic in style.
