Does anyone even still play this game? Considering DD2 hasn't come out i was wondering if this community was still active ._.

Then again nobody plays such games in Australia, so there goes hope of playing non-laggy games anyway ._.

EDIT: Well it's true the DLC is a nightmarish problem, but it could be worse. Look at the sims and train simulator>
At least DD let us mod it .-.

Put them on mute and venture on, personally I am good at games and when I see a bad player that seems like they are trying I have no problem with it, I will help them if needed.

But once in a while you get a jerk thats bad and because he is bad he fucks around and ruins the game for everyone, team kills, giving away positions, etc...

dungeon defenders players kick you. A lot. For no real reason. You can't just "ignore and play" on dungeon defenders.

played it until they decided they wanted to add about 20 dlc to the base game which wasn't free. if it were only about a total of 5 dlc for like an average of $2-3 each then i wouldn't mind... but missing that much bugs me as I shouldn't have to fork out double what i payed for the base game to get the complete experience, especially since some of it was originally stated to be free content (originally 2 of the dlc characters were locked but meant to be released at a later time for free, however, they decided to sell them at $1 each)...

almost every single dlc was free during the first week after its release. sad that you missed. I had thousands of hours of fun in the game and paid almost nothing for it.

Also it was in a bundle including all dlc, so guess its yourself to blame for missing out :)

Incorrect, I bought it a week after it was released and the only free dlc it had were maps from major holidays (christmas, halloween, etc.)

I shouldn't have to buy a bundle to receive the other half of a game i already bought, especially at a price which is more than the base game.

This is not also including the many many problems the game itself has with hacking stats and money, with no support from the developers to implement a system to detect hacked items (keep in mind, people were selling these items for real money)

The jester class was given out free for about 2 months last year too.

my apologies then, that must've came out after i decided to stop playing as the only free non-map content i ever received was Halloween costumes and i did regularly check to see which dlc were free

There were a fair number playing when I got back into it last month. If it weren't for bandwidth issues (my connection has a cap) I'd be playing it all the time.

That game is a nightmare personally.
While I do like a few DLC, this is just plain ridiculous. The amount of DLC they actually have is enough to make THQ very happy.

I've played it a few thousand hours before it finally got boring. I got all the dlc and paid like 10 bucks for them which was totally worth it!

I played it for a while after getting a bundle with its complete pack. It was really fun - until you hit the "brick wall" of nightmare mode, where you can't do it properly without its loot.

Then, you'll probably start to find a lot of cheaters everywhere, or at least people with hacked items, selling or giving them like its nothing. Then you'll be able to do some nightmare and start to get your own loot, but you'll already be sick of it.

I love its premise and gameplay, but the community doesn't help, the lack of anti-cheating protection and the excessive brick wall on nightmare kinda push people to cheating. I'm really looking forward to DD2.

I tried it on my android, and while it's a great thing to play on winter days in the bus stop (heats up like a mofo), the camera controls are just ass. I always wanted to get into it on PC too, but oh look, shiny!

The game is great for a while, but it becomes stereotypical (I played around 100hours). I preferred to play offline or with a friend via local co-op.

I never had much issue with the DLC really. When the game is on sale the complete pack is only around $15 or so, which isn't too much at all, and even at full price it ends up being about the same as any AAA game. Add the fact that new DLC is always free for a couple weeks upon release and yeah, I've never had much issue with it.

Hell, the fact that I have like, 400 hours in the game kind of shows how little issue I had with it.

Played it on xbox loads, then got it on PC. Haven't played that much. Kinda scared of going on servers and single player's getting too difficult...

I love the game but have no friends that play it anymore. Only players on it now a days seem like kids only. :| or people I simply cannot see myself getting along with.

I don't think I'll ever buy it because of the DLC. It's pretty much an insult. I'd only get it if it came in a bundle I got for other games, and that's about it.

A bunch of my friends still play it. And we got it from the humble bundle with all the DLC so that was a non-issue.
