This, Brazilian fans were way ahead of themselves, that team was unlikely to win the World Cup. I mean, the only reason they had a chance was that up until this point every other country was average as well. But you can't expect to be world champions with Fred leading the line.

There is nothing wrong with average. In all honesty almost whole German team is made of average players, but what makes that average work is pure team-play. Each player has its job and only gol is a victory, while most of other teams have just good/great individuals, who will not pass the ball, try to dribble whole field in attempt to score, because scoring is more important then winning as a team.
I cant agree that just because 2 players are missing that your whole team should become a joke, if your team relays only on few players then you better don't play. Because if you mark those players you are again in same situation, maybe you'll lose with lesser score, but still you'll lose.
And what is worst, anyone, and I literally mean anyone, who played football even just as a kid with friends knows that great individuals in team doesn't mean great team.

The way Brazil played last night, even my super sucky national team (Romania) could have beaten them. They basically didn't exist on the field. In fact, anyone could have beaten them, probably not at this score, but they had the bad luck of running into the Germans who were absolutely ruthless and without mercy, especially given they've waited 12 years to get back at the Brazilians for that pretty stinging defeat in the 2002 World Cup final.

Brazil should have lost at group stage. I was expecting something like 3:0 for Germany.

Oh, boy, I kinda enjoyed it, even though Germany eliminated France (Schrauben Sie Deutschen, Gott verdammt, ich bin Französisch, google übersetzen) . Back in 2010/2011 when I used to play lolo BR brought me too much pain with their retarded gameplay and their way of communication, so I see this match as pleasant revenge.

As a german I'm very happy about this Victory, but I also feel sad for the brazilian Players and People. Even in their darkest hour in football history they were fair and didn't start make fouls at german players. I love brazilian Football and I'm sure they will be back on top soon

So anyone remember the Superbowl and how badly Broncos lost to Seahawks? Yeah, this was pretty much as bad as that for Brazil.

This is an utterly poor comparison. The World Cup has been a worldwide fixture since 1930 (and International Play even earlier). The Super Bowl is strictly American and didn't exist until 1967.

I think it's not the same. Superbowl is a yearly event with 2 Teams with players that can be traded (nothing to do with patriotism). WC is only every 4 years and the Team is built with Men from that country and the whole nation is supporting them. And Superbowl is only popular in US, sorry I don't even know who the Broncos and Seahawks are.

Why? And how? Who watched the match and know reasons how one of the best teams lost to pragmatic germans?
