Is TERA fun?

I've never really got into an MMO before. TERA looks fun because of the combat, but what else is there? I know how these games work but I've never really played one myself before. I've played WoW and GW1 years ago but that was at friends houses.
Do you recommend the game or not?
What's fun about it? What's not good about it?
Is it all pay to win, since it's free now?

MMO like any other, but with the best combat system. If you really have to play MMORPG, try this one.

Path of Exile is not an MMO first. Second, it's combat system is barebones as crap. Sure there are lots of numbers and minmaxing to do, but combat still sucks.

Yeah, I guess all those MMO sites marking Path of Exile as MMO are dead wrong. But still it has MMO features and it CAN be classified as MMOG.

I don't care what sites may call the game, the game is by no means MASSIVELY multiplayer. MMO features start with MASSIVE amounts of people playing at the same time, and even together. If you call 40 people idling and trading in questhubs an MMO feature (and it's pretty much the only thing it has), then you are dead wrong.

Not to mention all this wasn't the point of my comment above anyway.

i recommend Guild wars 2. Though not free to play, it doesnt require a subscription and is not pay to play. It is a completely different game from Guild Wars 1 so don't be discouraged if you didnt enjoy GW1.

I quite enjoyed it for a while, as i do with most new games. It doesn't have any long-term appeal though...

It's F2P now (IIRC), so just try it :)

Tera WAS fun in the beginning, until they made if free to play. Since then it has become another typical free to play / pay to win cesspool.
