i'm allowed, once the giveaway has been marked as Received, to click on Modify and, say, send a second key?

edit: answer is YES

I took the key from pic, thanks for Skyrim. But after the first key is used and marked received, there shouldn't be any issues to reusing.

would be nice, you'd send things!

more than welcome fo' Skyrim, also.

I guess the question is if someone gets a notification if you modify it, so that it doesn't just get buried in the annals of past giveaways.

notification should be sent up until giveaway has been marked as Received (i think)

Right, but as below, if you are sending DLC, for example, after they claimed the first key, and marked it as received, how would they know that you modified the key and are intentionally giving them something extra? I just don't want you to be magnanimous to the point where the other person doesn't even know about it and end up with a key in limbo...

You can reply to there comments or post in an old giveaway of them that you changed the key to also give them a dlc.

A lot of people don't actually post any comments, even after a win, so there's no replying.

I am not trying to nit-pick, just trying to sort out the possibilities here.

You can always poke them in their previous public giveaways (if they have any), but I'm not exactly sure that a user who doesn't leave a comment of gratitude encourages that kind of extra effort. That said, if it hasn't changed, if you prefix with the humble gift url, you can attach anything you want to the end of it. (Hover for) Example 1, Example 2. Just gotta make sure the user in question doesn't misinterpret the key(s) as being an actual humble URL.
Moreover, I recall that I once used that method in the past as a "check your email!" notice for someone who didn't have any way of contacting them on-site and wasn't responding normally, so there's multiple potential applications for that workaround.

You are absolutely right, I forgot about the fact that the email is displayed right there, so that's probably the best way to contact them. Cheers for running through the questions I had in my head... haha...

The eye symbol is still there after you change the key and you get no new notifications after you marked a giveaway as received or not received.

I think you are. Otherwise the modify button wouldnt show there.

Yup, I've done a few times (for sending DLC, for example, or if the first key didn't actually work in a worse kinda situation.)

i've never ever thought about dlcs. asking things, sometimes, helps :D

Modifying is "official" way to change key if previous was duplicate or if you want to send DLC etc. If you leave Steam key in plain text as a reply - someone may see it before the winner.

Just like other users pointed out - winner will not get notification about new key. So you need to poke them on SG or Steam.

You should hide user e-mail address on this screenshot though.

I didn't check if we have user like that, but looks like we do not :P

So my bad, I just replied automatically with "do not spread other user information".

So should he request a new winner or not if some non-user ghost won the giveaway and I stole the key.

If you stole the key you will lock yourself from the gifts that are inside the wardrobe.

thank you.
i've never thought that tiny space as a way of sending another key, for something different too (not only for dlc but also a more secure, private way to "drop" a key. obv, you have to arrange it communicating with the old winner, but still an handy way, imo)

(screenshot data is completely fake/modified. can remove it, if needed, tho)

It's fine if it's fake. I just thought you could forget about obscuring it somehow.

Lately he likes to hide on chairs, under the dining table. When all 4 chairs are pushed in they form a joined platform. And he likes to hang out in there all the time now. It's his little fortress.

Happy cakeday icaio! Glad you already got your answer :)
I had the issue that one of my bundle keys got revoked once so I purchased another one (to avoid delay), changed it with that function and dropped a message that the guy could find a new key on bis GA won page (including a link to the "winners" page of the GA).

that's also why (and as how SG system works) one should always say "thank you" upon winning. you kinda create a link with GA creator.
