Hmm.. favorite childhood game, I would have two. One that's more serious and well known, and the other a lot more obscure.
The first is Age of Mythology. I loved it so much as a kid, played it for hundreds of hours, and somehow still mostly the campaign.
And the second one is a little game called Glace. One that I got from one of those CDs with many games on them, mostly demos, that came with so magazine. And I fell in love with it, wanted to replay it for the longest time but unfortunately, it's unplayable on anything more than vista. Or it wasn't until recently when the dev decided to remake the game, it's now on steam but unreleased yet.

My favourite childhood game: Psychonauts 1 (on Xbox but played on Steam too and created my 1-st achievement guide on Steam for that game!) but I have second fav game: Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII (on PSP) and we get a remaster of that game on PC!

I know you're out of points, that's fine by me. The very first game I ever played was Bubble Bobble on the NES. I also have very distinct memories of Mario and Tetris. For my fav games, that list would be much too long; I suppose Banjo Kazooie would be best to list for that one.

Not wanting an award, but some boardgame recommendations for you (and everyone else).

Recently I enjoy the following bunch:

• Chomp Laying out tiles, collecting dinos (living or dead), food for them, ... For me the selling point is mostly that tiles can overlap by 1/4 or 1/2.
• Flamme Rouge Easy to explain bike racing, draw 4, play 1 (x2), move your bikes, ...,repeat. At first glance it seems mostly random, but your position in the field matters so much.
• Planet Unknown Tile laying again, but simultaneous turns. Careful planing helps your gameplay.

Well, in my youth NES and Sega...
Tthe most memorable, scary and incredibly interesting game was Zero Tolerance.. I played it with a school friend, and he could not understand what I found in it. But in my head it was one of the most perfect games of that time. Narrow and dark corridors, a large number of different enemies and weapons with which they could kill in crowds. The game was very hardcore, but starting it over and over again from the first level I did not lose interest and was very excited.
Finally, my friend, who we were playing with, got the codes for all the levels and we stupidly tried to go through the last one, where some huge robot was walking around and knocking us all down.

I dropped a BG suggestion for you. Any award is fine, but I'm partial to "heartwarming" :D
