Do you believe in aliens?

Do i believe aliens visited the earth?
Used to, but now i dont.

Do i believe aliens exist somewhere in the vast universe?

I am open to the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial life. I am however, highly doubtful of it making visits to our planet.

Short answer: Yes, because I believe it to be a bit arrogant that to think humans - as disgusting and destructive as we are - are the only intelligent life in the universe.

I believe it's definitely a possibility. It would be stranger for us to be alone. I mean, if life happened once and life is therefore possible, why would it not happen again? Maybe we are the 'again' and there are or were others. Who knows. I believe in possibility. For anything from aliens to Bigfoot to God. And whether any or all of those exist is not my concern until they're in my face. :P

I do love trains though. Trains are great. And we have proof they exist, because we made them and all. Who doesn't love a good choo choo?

I depends what you have in mind asking that question. Little green dudes with huge heads? Probablly not. Other forms of living organisms? I think yes, for 90% (because I can't proove that in any way).

Also it's amazing how suddenly almost everyone in this topic is a physicist. So much comments taking some theories as fact not backing them up, other people trying to disscuss - probably using knowledge from high school (lol) or Discovery (even bigger lol). Seriously, don't be mad but if some real physicist would see that topic they would probably laugh. Not to mention that even biggest authorities have different opinions.

Yes, it's pretty stupid imho to even consider that we're alone in the universe. Do they waste enormous quantities of fuel come to our planet and anal probe murican rednecks? No, i highly doubt they give two shits about us, that's even they even noticed us in the first place.

However, as others have stated, i believe that knowledge of intelligent life outside our solar system would and will be suppressed, if any such evidence is found. We're still way too primitive and tied down by religions, the biggest of which still claims the earth is only 4000 years old and until not to long ago refused to even acknowledge that dinosaur fossils and such were real and used to claim the whole solar system revolved around Earth because... GOD! While i doubt news of intelligent alien life would cause wide spread panic it would shake up the current system too much and we all know how strongly people in power, be it political or religious power, resist change.

it would be close-minded to think otherwise, same as asserting there's life.

but since people are allowed (and sometimes encouraged) to believe in god, i'm gonna roll with that. :3

Yes I believe there are aliens out there, the universe is just too big for us to be alone.

Will we ever meet them? I really don't think so, least not in my lifetime. If we ever get FTL travel going I'm pretty sure we will come across ruins and whats left of alien civilizations, if we don't destroy ourselves first. Who knows, maybe it will be the aliens that get FTL travel going first and come and visit our remains.

Aren't we aliens to the aliens...?

My opinion has always been that it's kind of self-centered to think we are alone in the universe. There is way too much unexplored space and we lack the technology to really explore. I find it extremely unlikely that there is nothing at all in the entire universe. I'm not really talking about little green men either, just life in any form -- even plants.

Don't think I believe in those mainstream aliens with big heads and slim bodies, but I do think we are not alone!
