It appears you are soon to qualify for a unique group of steam gifts ... a Charitable Loser.
You can apply for the group in this thread and this is the Steam group page here.
Personally, I recommend looking for regifters or leechers to build a blacklist.
I hope to see you as a Charitable Loser friend and on my whitelist soon.

oh, you will see me there too in the near future, i hope. working really hard on it. during the last 3-4 weeks i made more than 100 giveaways. and i still need like 100 more. ^^

I'll try them one at a time, my problem is time to play. There's some games I've bought and didn't play for the same reason
Comment has been collapsed.
At the moment i won 13 and gave 12 but sadly my current giveaway ends in 1 week so i will have given 13 and won 13.
But can i be on the blacklist for 1 week? :))

Sorry, but I find this idea pretty bad. Yes, I don't like people with unbalanced won and given ratio but some people simply can't give away many games. If they've won 10 games and given only 3, then they're good in my eyes because they've actually given something back. Heh, there are even some good users who have unbalanced ratios. As SevenBlueSeven suggested, look for people who actually break the rules to build Your blacklist. It's not that You need a big blacklist, right? If You want to blacklist me because I said out my opinion, then feel free to do it :P

+1
I'll have to agree, having more won than given does not necessarily means that the person isn't trying. I was in the negative for a while on my ratio, until I found ways to acquire bundled games cheaply, such as Tremorgames. Now I'm nearing two times more given than won... Not too bad, I guess.

10:3 I'd consider a fair ratio still, but there are ppl with 60-70 or even 100+ wins and 0 given. If you win tens if not over a hundred of free games and you cannot give back juzt few cents DLC or 1$ 1st tier of bundle - then there's something seriously wrong.
Same with people who are winning for a year, 2 years and never give anything back - if they were to save ust 5-10 cents per month they'd already be able to buy 2 bundles to give anything back.
Plus now we have trading cards - you can basically just earn free money on steam with games you've won - so to give anything back you don't even have to spend your own money, ust not use this free wallet money just on yourself.

there's already been trades like that ;) They don't change anything - leechers gonna leech. Any "I cannot afford to buy anything to give back to the community" is just an excuse. Ofc not everyone will be able to give back as much as top contributors does. But everyone are able to give anything at all.

am 16 , come from india , dont have international/ any credit card/debit card , neither do my parents, the only games i can giveaway is the ones i get from tremor games / by selling items i get from cs:go/dota2, i tend to be lucky and i try my best to keep compensating for it but idk everyone hates me for it because apparently i cant keep up with making giveaways , i try my best but i cant keep up , even though it's a giveaway site people forget it's about giving and go around blacklisting others who dont make "enough " giveaways even though they forget that for every contributor there needs to someone who actually wins a game. ofc 100+ wins and 0 giveaways are extreme cases but the rest are trying their best, just because people earn more/are able to expend more of their money doesn't justify the others to do the same. Most people bring up the argument that there are cheap games on steam that can be given away , but they forget that most of us dont even have steam wallet (i got mine a month back).

Thanks for letting know of Tremor Games also. :o And yes, at least some of us try, but some logic only sees when ratio is 1:1 or more, oh well. Let them blacklist, most which are like that are already in mine too, anyways. This is a community about giving, not about taking.
Update: Nevermind. F-- my region in the... Wherever. Sorry Achievements Games are not available in your region. You may earn Tremor Coins by completing offers , watching videos or completing tasks.

i have to agree with you, i admit im 1/3 in ratio but its not from lack of trying. im extremely proud of myself for giving more than 60 games away, in my eyes thats a personal accomplishment considering im 26 years old and never had a job before so i've never had any money lol, so yea pretty spectacular that ive done well enough on SG

I do. I'm one of those idiots who actually tries to make more giveaways (yeah, yeah, I know, cheap leftover bundle stuff only) instead of shovelling out about as much from the site as I put it, yet still be heralded as the pillar of the community, because most people just look at the games given and not the (games given) - (games won) number.

You have to do it quickly, I have Ga's ending in five hours.

Won a couple of things and haven't given anything back yet. Originally this was because I was limited to retail purchases of everything I owned on Steam. Now it's just lazyness XD, I have a bunch of stuff sitting in my inventory and the opportunity/day has just never seemed right to give any of it away.
Comment has been collapsed.
To be fair there are three not receiveds in there :P
Comment has been collapsed.
And 7 of those came in a flood just after Steamgifts V2 opened it's doors whilst I guess some people were taking a break and there was less competition.
Or whilst whatever fairness algorithm CG has running in background was reset if you're a conspiracy theorist. (Not that they shouldn't have such a thing)

The OCD kind. I need the conditions to be just right when I make my first giveaway XD
:P
I also haven't yet been able to decide on the ideal length of time for the giveaway.

I usually do 1 hour giveaways on public if it's global key. The ones most active have higher chance! :P Usually ends up with max 200 entrants and they redeem the day or next already. I haven't really gotten my hands on something puzzle-worth yet but pretty much have an idea of what I should do as. Region locks(Turkey) I do for 12 hours to a day, since not many users. Even with so I only gather up to around 30.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh yeah...that's one more thing...where do I check for region locks?
Also I don't really like short giveaways, I want everyone to have a chance, but at the same time I don't want to leave it dangling out there for a month. So somewhere inbetween, but where...
And I'm not clever enough for puzzles and I hate Itstoohard as it's plagued by personally submitted answers so if I typo the correct response then no one will get it other than those that happen to make the same typo.
And what would be my optimal method for giving the winner their gift? I mean I know keys are out as they're already gifts but that still leaves 3 options.
And which of the my games should I give away first? I was leaning toward the Just Cause collection since getting that damn DLC for Just Cause 2 is where my Steamgifts AND Steam journey started (not that I ever managed) but maybe that's too run of the mill now given it's been bundled and flogged a few times, maybe it should be something grander...but at the same time not too grand...
So many decisions which have yet to be made. Hence the lazyness.

ITH allows you to have multiple right answers. So it can be like, "Bad Rats", "Badrats", "The Bad Rats", "Bad Rats The Game", whatever more you wish to be on the same question. That way you can avoid those.
About Steam Regions, well there are like a few, they're basically store locks actually. The ones you buy can only be activated at where the store is. Same goes if you're going to be gifting them. A little information bar shows whether if it's region locked, such as this. Other than that, SOME keys might be region-locked, based on where they were purchased. Like a German law bans the visuality of mines in games iirc, so anything related to that gets a patched(? not sure on this), region lock for only Germany purchases. Other than exceptions, most of the keys you will get online on GMG, DIG, HumbleBundle will be global keys.
You can give winners their gift in many ways. One is by system automation, system will automatically deliver the key(The key in the image is activated already, obviously. :P). This is the easiest way I prefer doing, however, it's not so easy for me to obtain keys for time being, but that aside, the next one.
The next one is by selecting the Gift option when creating a giveaway. Well, at this point it's left up to you. Steam gives you two options for this for the gifts you have in your inventory. First is to e-mail it, and second is to directly gift it as a friend. I prefer the latter since people might miss their e-mails and end up using the redeem limit of 7 days. And to after-track the activation of the game, or ability to send (If the user already owns to-be gifted game, it cannot be gifted). Also I can remind to mark the gift as received upon gifting letter, too. Before going into this procedure, I also mail the winner to notify about upcoming friend request by me, and the end time for them to redeem their gift.
Oh, the last alternative could be that, you select the gift option upon creating the GA, but prefer to deliver a key manually by e-mail or another platform. Well, wouldn't even be my least option for now. :P
Sorry for the long text, I tried to explain it in detail to cover it much as I can. Do ask more if you still have anything to.

No problem. And thanks for the long response.
I haven't seen such a bar on any of my gifts but I'm still a little worried because Desponia Complete I couldn't buy as a gift for my sister, but the individual chapters I could? So they're not region locked at all? why the discrepancy?
And as far as I know I'm in a ROW region (seeing as my Steam Store is in dollars whilst I'm in South Africa) but yet I'm subject to really strange region locks like can get Max Payne 3 but not 1 and 2, can get Castlevania 2 but not 1, can get Prototype 1 and the bundle but not 2 by itself, that Deponia thing (though I can get any of them for myself), can get Dragon Age but not Ultimate and likely some more I've yet to uncover. So I'm worried about there being some hidden region lock on my stuff as maybe I'm not ROW afterall.
Also some good points about which option to choose when gifting. Though keys are out as I only have access to actual gits, nothing else. Any risk I open myself to up to when befriending someone unfavourable? (other than the obvious don't be stupid enough to give them your password)
Some of the things I mentioned previously weren't really questions, merely the procrastinations that still stand in the way of my first giveaway and which I've been too lazy to actively tackle.

ROW is the region-free part(Also censor-free, people would want to trade for this version), however some games still have "Specific region only" options. So no wonder for that. For the bundles part, they're registered a secondary, like they're some other game, so they might be different.
About befriending, not really. Well, there are some Steam chat-link spyware thingie going around, so not clicking anything in chat, helps I guess. :P I usually gift, do the check for activation, do the check for gift disappearing from inventory, and then delete the user(Unless I have otherwise reason not to).

+1 for CarlEric .
While I really hate ungrateful people, I also hate the fact that someone just thinks about SG as a free-game machine. But, to be honest, I was like that when I registered. Then I wanted to rush 30.01 CV to be able to enter better giveaways (I had some funds) but let's not forget - not every single of us can allow to get games. I had to pirate by games pre-2009 because I didn't had ANY means to purchase online.I kinda wanted to buy, but couldn't. The real challenge is to find out who's "poor" or unable to buy games, and at the same time, find the leechers. And by leecher, this time I mean an ungrateful (!) person who thinks this site exists for the sole reason to give him games. I also had a winner with a 33 won, 1? given ratio. I wanted to blacklist them at first, then I realized that at least he say thank you for it, after the giveaway. (in fact won 2 of my older GAs, and thanked both time)
Long story short - if you really want to blacklist someone, blacklist the:
