From my understanding, and from what I've been told by numerous people, is that if you make a giveaway for a non-bundled game and then let's say 6 months later it gets bundled, you KEEP the CV you gained from it before it got bundled.

What I've been reading lately is that people have LOST CV from games getting bundled even if they made a giveaway for it before it was bundled.

Does CV go down or not? I've seen Support say it does NOT go down, but users have said it does.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO BELIEVE ANYMORE.

Oh btw, there are 7 hours left on this giveaway.

It depends. I made a giveaway for Super Puzzle Plataformer Deluxe (Great game!) after I 100% it, and I got CV, so I wrote to support to get it added to bundle list. Around 6 months later they replied and it was added to the bundle list, and I lost the CV, so I guess is directly related to the time the game get's added to the bundle list.

As long as you created the GA before the date game was bundled (not to be confused with the date it was added to the bundle list) you will get full CV for it.

I can't say for sure if future one time bundling makes it drop, but I assume once it's been bundles a certain number of times it might drop, also time seems to make finished giveaways lose cv, say you give away a new AAA game, $60 worth of cv, in 5 years that game will only be selling for $10-$30, it's cv value would be adjusted accordingly, and that would retroactively lower you cv from that old giveaway. thats what i've gather from various threads

I don't quite understand it either. I've seen games that were bundled and added to the list with a bundle date of a few months back. If it was bundled back then, why wasn't it added to the list back then? :S

There is only one moderator who maintains the bundle list, sometimes they miss things and sometimes things take a while. Now that Steam is doing so many stores with their own currency I have a feeling we will see a lot more games going on that list over a period of time.

From what I have gathered it all depends on what the date of the bundle price is:

If you make a Giveaway for Game A today, when it's on no sale and at full price, you get full CV value for it.

If you make a Giveaway for Game A today, where it has been bundled or heavily discounted previously but not added to the list, you get full CV for now but when the bundle list is updated with the game all GA's made after the date of the initial price decline will get bundled CV. Those made before it will get full CV.

If a game is on the bundle list already you get bundled CV.

If Steam changes the price we all lose CV.

EDIT - NerdHouse if you look at the Real CV Sent by me you can see Sakura Spirit giving me full CV for a group GA I did for Heretics, then it giving me Bundled CV for a spare key I did a GA of last week. I hope that helps.

If game today gets into bundle or -96% sale, then it will be bundled. BUT, there's no guarantee it will be bundled today, it might get bundled in a year time, because Bundle-Support-Guy won't notice that thing for that long.

And if that happens, every giveaway made in that year will lose CV.

BUT. If you finish giveaway today, but tomorrow it gets into for example Humble Bundle, then you'll keep whole CV.

Is it based on the ending date or the starting date of the GA for games that are retroactively bundled? If it's the end date that's gotta suck for people who run month long events.

Also I believe it's 95% not 96%, not much of a difference but with the different currencies now it can make a difference.
