I see no problem with that ratio really, unless the group specifically requires it of course. Otherwise I'd say it's a healthy one. It indicates that he's more of a receiver (leecher, if you prefer) than a gifter, but he definitely has contributed his part. My ratio is similar to his.
Some people on this site like to give a lot, others prefer to get something out of it, which inevitably means that you aim to win more than you give. As long as he follows the group rules once he enters the actual group, there shouldn't be a problem :)

Tbh, this group aims for a 1:1 won sent ratio. We encourage our members to have a 100% ratio as it is fair for everybody. Sure there's those that constantly oscillate around the 70% mark (which is the lowest we allow), but we don't really like to see such people. A ratio like yours and Rauchen's show right from the beginning that you will most probably be one of this kind of people. Your approach is totally fine for you, just not for the group you're applying here.

Thanks pointing it out. I thought the ratio request was meant for the group's giveaways.
As I said earlier I'm working on it, I will re-apply after fixing it, hopefully before Dyna has found 20 new recruits :)
Damn, I wish I could get notifications when someone replied on my whole post rather than direct reply :/

Well, the ratio request is meant for the group's ratio. I was just pointing out that your current ratio indicates what type of giver you will possibly be within the group.
There's those that give a lot more than they recieve, there's those that keep their stuff balanced and then there's those that take as much as they can get within the given frame.

Seriously?
what do you think about your own ratio?
Edit: Since May 27th you have won 21 games and created 5 giveaways.

Well to start off, I'm a new member, Just joined a month ago and have been active on steamgifts since.
Have a positive ratio and already part of some private giveaway groups.
Have no negative history in my account.
The only thing I don't qualify is that I haven't participated in the midsummer event because I'm not yet a member of steamgifts back then.
I read the rules and QA. I'll try my best to pass the initiation process and keep a positive ratio if i get to be a member.
I'll wait for the next recruitment drive then.

Hello, I have an interest in joining your group.
I do have a couple questions though:
Is it very common for giveaways to finish with <5 entries?
Also I would like some clarification on the blacklists. On the off chance that I already have someone in the group blacklisted, I would be expected to unblacklist this person when I became aware of it and vice versa if they already have me on their blacklist?
And if there were such a situation but I felt strongly about why they were on my list, is the only option to leave the group? Or is there some avenue for me to explain why I dont want to remove them and I can remain in the group?
(This is hypothetical and I have no knowledge of having anyone in your group on my blacklist)

Yes, not every game will get 5 entries. Some bundle games are just more out there then others, so chances are that most members already have those.
We do not allow members blacklisting each other. Each giveaway should be available to every member. If there is something serious that has happened, please contact one of the officers to assist you.

Thank you for your response, your rules seem reasonable :)
I have a lot of giveaways on this site, with a good ratio. I have participated in the Midsummer Madness event, as well as a couple other similar events on the forum. And I buy too many bundles ^_^
Being able to possibly buy a couple less or pick up some games from bundles i missed, sounds nice.

I would be interested in joining you guys! I participated in Midsummer Madness and try my best to be active. :3
I'd like to join because money is tight and bundle games are much easier for me to give, and I would really like to give. Additionally, and I suppose selfishly, I think it would be nice to have a better chance of winning the bundle games that I am interested in playing myself. For playing multiplayer games I haven't really had the chance to do much of that so I think it could be fun to try. :D

Hi Dyna18 and other members!
I am a Dutch speaking gamer and active on SG and Steam for sure! Also active on tweakers (=Dutch technology/gaming community).
Other languages I am able to speak: English of course, French and a German.
Playing games with other people is something I really would like to do!
Sadly I did not participate in the Midsummer Madness event.
I have a bunch of bundle games left to giveaway here on steamgifts.
So that's about it.
Hopefully I am able to join if not then I'll wait till a future recruitment

I am active and I have an outstanding history of sharing games both in the midsummer madness event and elsewhere. I am unfortunately not universally loved but I have no negative rep anywhere. I do like playing games when my schedule allows.
I have many bundle keys that I could share and as I don't get every bundle I think there are at least a few that I could win. I think this group might well be a potential solution to the problem and I would like to be considered for membership.

I would like to join! You can check my SG profile and see that I share games regularly. :)

Bundle Quest is one year old and is looking for a few more members who love bundle games!
This Steam group is a great place for gifting bundle keys with a nice group of friends. And to make sure that sharing is actually fun, it will be done on a ratio system. That means that for every game you share, you are guaranteed a game back. Now that is a great way to build your game collection!
We started one year ago and in this year a grand total of over 10,000 games have been given. Currently we got 250+ private giveaways running. We have 135 members and we are looking to hire about 20 more members.
We aren't just looking for any member though, so read on if you are what we are looking for.
How will this group work?
All giveaways will be handled by Steam Gifts. We make group only giveaways that the members of Bundle Quest can enter. To keep things fair, we use a ratio. We count the number of games you have given away in the group and the number of games you won, which determines your ratio. For tracking we have our own Bundle Quest website which keeps track of the ratio and everything else. Just keep a fair ratio. It’s that simple.
This group is for active members who like sharing and playing together.
From new members we ask that you proof that you want to be a part of the group. First by making your first giveaway withing 48 hours after being invited. Also we like to see you post a minimum of 1 giveaway per week for the next 4 weeks. During your initiation period we want to see you active, so this way we ensure we only let active members be part of the group.
Off course we also ask you to always follow the group rules. They can be found on our web site. Be sure to have read the Rules and Questions and Answers before applying!
Who are we looking for?
You participated in the Midsummer Madness event. If you are interested in joining this great group, apply by posting in this thread.
Please post more than a simple “I like to join”, but tell us why you would like to team up.
Now this recruitment drive will only be open for people who participated in the Midsummer Madness event. If you didn't participate, I'm afraid you have to wait till a future recruitment drive. We got about 20 open spots right now and selecting who will be invited will be done by the group admins based on your motivation and criteria posted above. Don't feel bad if you didn't make it.
Note: Please do not send me a friend invite and ask for an invite.
Update: Ok, I went though the list and invited a number of people who have participated in the Midsummer event.
That filled about half the spots, meaning we still have about 10 spots open.
It is now open to all to apply even if you did not participate in the midsummer event. The other criteria still stand though.
Update 2: Applications will be reviewed next weekend.
Update 3: Thank you all for your interest. Those who were picked have received their invitation by now. Sorry if you weren't among the chosen ones.
Recruitment is now closed again.
