Also I would recommend Gauntlet but that is more fun with 4 players because its so wonderfully hectic.

If you want a game that will test your relationship, Octodad. :) It's hard enough on your own, but one player controlling the left side and the other the right side makes it much harder.

I like resident evil revolution 2. but it has some shitty things on local co-op though, u need to play with 2 controllers, nothing else :P u can't use keyboard and controller :/

i used to play a lot of heroes of might and magic V and disciples 2 in hotseat with a friend. spent a lot of nights with those games.

If you're both into RPGs or maybe looking into getting into the genre, Divinity: Original Sin supports coop. I've started it twice playing coop with someone only to have something come up both times where we couldn't continue. It's not as fun for me single player because it has an interesting mechanic where the two characters interact with each other and must make decisions at certain points in the game. You can agree with each other, but if you disagree and can't work it out, you play rock paper scissors to determine the winner.
