Saints Row: The Third Franchise Pack (50P)
I think that used to be 150 or 105P.

A game you gave away probably had a price drop.

EDIT: Also when the price decreases, you tend to lose value from indiegames sometimes. ;p

So yea. Could be it.

Games come to bundles, your cont is lowered. imo

If the REGULAR price of a game gets permanently reduced in the steam store, so does contrib value.

So if you gave away the Darkness II when it was $50, your contribution went down to $30 when the price lowered.

but not on 100 in few days

Few weeks ago there was a bug/steam community error that caused some games to give a much higher contribution. I had well over 500 contribution then.

Well, SR3 franchise pack was 105$ now it's only 50.

which brings around -65$ to your contrib. value.

is that real ? why ? so if someone gave away Skyrim last year ($50) and the price decreases to $20 in 2013 (for example), his contrib value gets a -$30 ? isnt that unfair and dumb ?

It's how this site is set up. All information on games (picture, price, list of games) comes directly from Steam. Sure, it's kind of dumb, but I'd rather have steamgifts than no steamgifts.

aa that sucks. Two worlds 2 was still counted as a bundled game even though it was tradeable AND the bundle hasn't started yet

Two Worlds Epic Edition was in the Be Mine 6, Two Worlds 2 not in any to my knowledge until now.
And the new Groupees Bundle is live since a few hours ago

yes, its the epic edition. Already asked support why they started Groupees bundle date @ feb 11

they always do this

1 decade ago

They do this when the games are known before the bundle starts (so people wouldn't be able to make giveaway for known games before bundle starts -> buy bundle -> gift codes to winner and get non-bundle contrib)

You can't give two worlds 2 keys before the bundle starts. Also my end date for two worlds two is feb 11 and also marked as received on Feb 11. Bundle started @ Feb 14

It's not really about your case. What I wrote is how it may look in general. Some people trying to "cheat" the system may think "if I make a giveaway so it would end before the bundle starts then I won't loose contrib, then I'll just wait (let's say) 2 days and gift the winner bundle key" and putting game on bundle list with date when we got to know what games will be bundled should prevent people doing this. I really hope you'll get full contrib for your giveaway and I just wanted to show you there is a reason behind that. In worst scenario you'll join the "why did I wait so long with making this giveaway" group (aka people who waited so long that the game got into bundle)

I know how you feel, i made 2x Serious Sam 3 giveaways to achieve $250 and now i have $245.. Serious Sam 3 is a bundle game now, sad story.. I made my giveaways before it was a bundle game but i still got my contribution lowered, gg.

? Giveaways made prior to bundling will be treated as non-bundled giveaways.

Well, i had my contribution lowered today and it was $250 yesterday. Already sent a ticket to know what happened.

Check your 5-10 dollar games. I don't think a ticket is necessary for this. ._. Just a waste of support's time imho.

@InJ3cTiOn: If you add the current values of all the stuff you have given away so far, then it sums up to your current contribution value just correctly. It's the same "phenomenon" as OP's and a support ticket is not necessary. (Poor support.)

The reason: The contribution value is the current value of all things you've given away.

(The reason for that: Keeping track of all the price lines for everything ever available on Steam is too difficult.)

It's not, SteamGameSales is just doing that.

Thank you very much, I didn't know that, but SteamGameSales has a price history for a lot of games, indeed. (But for example not the Valve Complete Pack.)
