Long story short. He used the "n-word" without license and bunch of politically correct losers started to sperg out.

Thanks for the additional information.
To be honest, I vaguely knew that something had happened.🤫
However, in the East, it is taboo to “beat the dead with a whip.”
When remembering the deceased, we generally talk about their good qualities.
There is no need to imitate the aspects we consider negative.

That taboo also exists in the West (albeit not that specific expression), but personally, I don't agree with it. After all, everyone dies; no reason to downplay bad people's negative impacts just because they did something everyone will do.

Absolutely agree.
That being said I makes sense only in case of major things. Like being Hitler.
Saying that you are happy because of somebody's death only because he said "Nigger" on a sex tape where he is having sex with his friends wife, where all was staged by that friend and they were supposed to not publish it, and he later won lawsuit against them. All in all - this is all celebrities weir stuff. Picking up on this is quite petty. And thats one of the reasons why people are fed up with cancel culture :)

I wasn't aware of a sex tape or the comments, but when i still see so many old 80-90's movies on tv, or songs where that word is said also still and people don't make a fuss about those, cancel culture can also be very selective.
Like with our country how certain singers get fully cancelled just being accused of something but not even gone to trial yet and others who did something equal or worse (and found guilty in court) get away more easy.
We used to live in a world where you could say hey i don't like or condone what you did, but i still respect you as a human or i just go on with my life and not almost be happy saying someone is dead and won't be missed.

I hope that you still live in the place you describe, and that I too will live in such a place.
I think we used to observe the kind of Earth you are talking about.
There is no need to reply to the following comment. It's just a long rant.
Nowadays, acts of erasing data that does not fit with past alterations or values have become prominent since last year.
The act of not accepting different answers and trying to converge on a single answer is something that people in democratic countries have disliked, such as totalitarianism and dictatorship, but it is also a strange reality that there are people who unconsciously do this and do not question it.
Individual freedom, rights, and human rights are absent, diversity is nonexistent, and the rules set by those in power become the truth of the moment.
Without redistribution, the economy becomes inefficient, and the poor become even hungrier.
Even if there are other countries where this is the reality, people only pay attention to what is happening around them.
They dislike the lack of quick decisions and the abundance of fake news, so they blindly believe in certain people and push forward as if it were a religion.
There's also the vague term “decline in the quality of democracy,” I suppose.
Furthermore, in today's society, there is no time to consult with others. Therefore, it is possible to ask search engines and AI instead, but it seems that there is no time to even listen to their opinions.
Furthermore, humans are strange beings who find it difficult to consult with other humans.
That reminds me of a familiar historical pattern – the transition from the Roman Republic to the Roman Empire is well-known.
I used to think that people were just making bad jokes about these things, but now it feels like they are becoming a reality, and I feel sad.

Not speaking ill of the dead is thing where I'm from (to an extent)
Howerver, Hulk Hogan is a public figure that did insert himself in current and onging politics, by being part of Trump election campaign and speaking publiclly about his views since then. So his words and actions still effect people that are alive today. He has spoken multiple times about immigration, regardless of opinions, it is a very relevent subject in America and other parts of the world.
If all the comments here were about how 'nice' he was or the wholesome moments in his career/life; due to how vocal his political views are, it would leave people to believe his views are widely accepted, which could have an impact on how they challenge their own views.
Now I'm not going to get into the details that I'm aware about. Only replying to this thread at all because the comment above implying the only things Hulk Hogan has done wrong is casually use the N-word is ignoring the context of him using the N-word and implies that's the only this he has done. If you want to know more, I'm sure the information is out there. If you don't, that's fair.
No shame towards anyone that feels a sense of loss over his passing. The guy did impact some peoples lives positively and gave them fond memories, I have no judgement over anyone that feels sorrow or only wants to know him for wreastling and that show about the boat.

I don't think you intend to attack me personally based on differences in religious views or cultural values regarding death.
However, your reply to me could be interpreted that way, which confuses me.
Rather than replying to me about what kind of person he was, wouldn't it be better to write about it elsewhere?
There are multiple ways of looking at things, so it's inevitable that people see things differently.
I have already mentioned my stance on the deceased, so you have probably read it and there is nothing more to say.

My apologies if it came across as personal. It was not my intention to attack you or change your opinions on the dead. I tried to pick my words carefully but apparently didn't choose them carefully enough.
It's unfortunate your original comment got you dragged into this conversation when it seemed like it came from only good intentions.
Still the conversation and the line about it being a taboo seemed a relevent place to reply to. I do not mean to imply you are judging people for breakign tabboo, only stating to the thread that people have their reasons for doing so in this thread. I apologise for piggy backing of your comment for something that was aimed at the thread in general.
Part of my comment, I hope was clearly not aimed at you, was just explaining the reasoning for my comment being posted at all.
It's not my intention to get into the details of him as a person, I tried to keep it to minimum. Maybe I could have been more vague.
And again, no shame for having fond memories of him as an actor and the more wholesome aspects of his personality.
Here is a picture of cats as an apology.

Perhaps we both lacked the words to express ourselves.
I hope things will get better, and I hope the deceased can rest in peace. 🤴🍵🍘🍪☕👽️
Anyway, the day when cats rule the earth is coming soon.🌍️🐈️
Perhaps all of humanity would be happier if they remained slaves to cats.
But between you and me, I'm allergic to dog and cat hair, so even though I like them, getting close to them is hell...

Ozzy, Malcolm and now Terry all in the same week. I grew up watching/listening to them all, RIP.

this guy was a hero to me when i was a kid watching thunder in paradise. i really liked that show.

He was a household name in my childhood, even here in Germany with no connection or interest into wrestling. But I wasn't exactly impressed of what he became, to put it kindly.
The contrast to Ozzy Osbourne is quite remarkable actually. Also recently deceased, much less well known as a person in my childhood. And the superficial first impression was all around negative.
And while I later never watched his show or got to know him better, he very much managed to build some positive legacy to remember him by.

"Hulk Hogan, one of the most popular professional wrestlers of all-time who helped make WWE a juggernaut, has died, according to TMZ.
He was 71.
A “cardiac arrest” call was placed and medics were sent to Hogan’s home in Clearwater, Fla, TMZ reports.
He was stretchered into an ambulance.
Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, rose to prominence in the 1980s with his All-American “Hulkamania” persona and helped transform WWE, then known as the WWF, into a national powerhouse.
Born in Augusta, Ga. in 1953, Hogan had two children, Brooke and Nick, with his first wife, Linda."
