GameFly Refer-a-Friend Question

I know this is going to make me sound extremely impatient but I'm curious.

Has anyone ever used GameFly's Refer-a-Friend program to earn free months of game rentals before? I paid for a 2 month subscription for my brother using my referral link so that I could get the BOGO deal and save some cash.

My question is how long is it supposed to take for me to get my free month, and how will I be notified when I am eligible? I don't have any current payment methods on my account as I canceled my active subscription after having Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked for 6 weeks. I'm still a member, just not an active, paying one. I was hoping that when my brother got his account I would be eligible for a free month so I could try a few Wii U games I've been interested in.

The program says it's after the person's account has been billed a monthly charge, although many people have made it sound like as soon as they referred someone, they had their reward. It just happened earlier so I don't know if I need to wait a few days or see if my brother keeps his membership after the 2 months. I've been charged the fee plus a $1 holding fee so I know he's got his membership but I'm still waiting to see if GameFly gives me my own free month.
