Yep. December sale was madness in GOG. Baldur's Gate was 50% off, iirc

No, it's $10 at GG normally. They had some crazy prices at year end, though. I got NWN2 Platinum for $3 and BG2 Complete for $2 (it was $2.49 but I had some blue coins, some from NWN2).

Aren't those all Sierra games? Did Activision buy out Sierra?

You have Space quest collection and King's quest collection on steam for both €10. Last sale was -25%, I just wait till a -50% sale to buy em there ;-)

I dont think I've ever seen any sale on the space quest or kings quest collection on steam. Was it on the winter sale?
plus each collection costs 20$ now on steam.

Steam does not say if they are compatible with Vista and 7, GOG does.

They should work with ScummVM, though. And far as I know they work with DOSBox, which is also compatible with 7.

I would be interested to know what is the pricing policy of GOG? I see two "normal" price tiers there - 5 USD and 10 USD. Does anyone know how deep their diccounts can be? 50% 60% 75%? What was the lowest you have seen? I just registered there so would like to find out a bit how they do matters there. (I dig very much the idea of DRM-free downloads, though and free games at start).

The highest discount I have seen is 60% off as far as I can remember.

Their normal price tiers are $10 and $6. I don't remember seeing anything lower than 50% off. I like the idea of DRM free, too, and I bought some stuff there, but it's usually better to wait for a sale elsewhere. They do have some exclusives, though, if you're into old games.

Thank you. At least I know what to expect now. Also this means it will basically be a trade off between more expensive and DRM-free or cheaper with DRM. :)

For such classic adventure games if you happen to find them cheaper elsewhere you can just use ScummVM and play without DRM.

I'll look into it.

By the way, there are free remakes and adventures in the series made by independent developers. For example King's Quest I to III, KQ III and SQ II, web version of Space Quest.
