If you think the source of the game affects leveling up, you're wrong. It doesn't matter if it's from Steam or Humble Bundle. What matters is if it's been bundled.

Just to clarify because I've seen people not understanding how it works. If a game is bundled buying a steam gift from the steam store won't count as full CV, it will still count as bundled.
Also it's not only games in bundles that go in the bundled list but all games which go over 95% sale (not sure about the exact % but I think it was 95%), so there are cases where game with price glitches or thanks to CIS region go to the bundle list after they go on a sale and also cases where games in bundles don't go to the list (like many Humble bundle top tier or humble monthly etc.)

No he is trolling. The formula is simple: is it on this list? Then it levels slowly. Yes, that includes those 100-dollar compilation packs on that list.

Buying unbundled games gives you the most points to level up. If a game has been bundled, or has reached 95% off or more it doesn't matter where you buy it from its still considered bundled.

Define good discount. Because since the Russian ruble is in freefall, even a 85% sale can mean a one-way ticket to the bundle list with a retroactive date. Heck, maybe a 80% one now.
But to give a tip, I didn't see The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief on the bundle list, and the deluxe edition is a 30-dollar item on a 80% sale now.

bundled games provide somewhere around 10% of the leveling worth of the game as compared to buying it at full price which would provide 100% of the leveling worth
