That's absolutely ridiculous and I hate when people make that claim. Dev giveaways actually have WORSE odds than most other giveaways on the site. So you have better luck than most people.

Yup. I've seen people with over 3000 and not a single win. They also had donated a large amo0unt of games for giveaways.
You are a lucky bastard to have 3 wins in less than a thousand entries. Took me 1200, and I still haven't won an entered developer giveaway, including the Oniken one.

If you can read, you will notice one states "BETA" and the second is the actual game.
But you know I forgive you for being a moron, or you know basically assuming without digging into those 2 links, I know hard work for a mentally challenged moron like yourself.
And I was quite thrilled to win the full game after playing the beta I quite enjoyed it.
And honestly that beta didn't count it was 15k giveaways, with 14k entries.

You didn't need to call him a moron is all I'm saying, mainly because what he said wasn't moronic, it was an easy mistake to make for something that was "in the fine print", so to speak. I'm sure most people wouldn't think that you got the beta for one of them as it doesn't show up as "Guns of Icarius Online Beta" on your "Gifts Won" page, they both just say "Guns of Icarius Online". It was an easy mistake to make.

You're right, asking people to do an iota of research before making a blatant statement such as

it's all completely random. If you enter more giveaways, the overall probability of you winning a game will of course go up, but with so many people entering giveaways (especially public ones) not winning after 997 entries is a completely reasonable outcome to expect.
Luck doesn't really exist, its just an evolved human response of pattern recognition and the need to believe in optimistic outcomes.

ok, so as stated, i join about 997 giveaways based only entries, but i've only gotten 1 game so far... not counting the developer giveaways... is my luck that bad?
i've got a friend who join steamgift as well, and he gotten 3 game within 500 entries...
