I second that - Torchlight is a lot more enjoyable than PoE. PoE is just not dynamic enough.

I'll have to third that. I found Torchlight 2 to be better.

Poop? Nahhh, actually not sure why TL2 caught people more here, it felt to tame to me honestly(Kinda like I was going through the motions), maybe I will give it another go with that mod everyone talks about.
POE on the other hand felt amazing to me, was hooked once I got through a couple missions, so satisfying, and so much customization, great game.

From my point of view, TL is more fun to explore, has awesome animations and a better AI overall + the difficulty doesn't come from putting insane stats into mobs. In PoE I love the depth of customisation and whenever I play it I feel like playing KF with friends. Both are good games, but they focus on different aspects.

Sadly Path of Exile is not available in my region, so looks that that option is out :P
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Ehm, ehm. Even non steam version from pathofexile.com?
You shouldn't pass on such great game due to stupid steam restrictions, if that's the case.

I like it better also, played the closed a bunch, playing it now again.

PoE is awesome and what D3 should have been, but TL2 is better, not to mention fully moddable.

check out the game hub / watch gameplay videos to see if it's something that you'd like

Dude, Torchlight II is by far the best dungeon crawler i have played in a long time. it is for sure worth every buck! also the steam workshop support makes the game even better, adding tons of extra items, levels and graphical changes.
i LOVE the game
oh and diablo is crap compared to this game!

That just....NO.

What makes you think that? He just said Diablo...?

Let's assume he was talking about D1 and D2(+LoD). I understand that it's a decade between D2 and TL2, but if you were to pick one of these games, what would you play, (any) Diablo or TL2? To be honest now, I think I've enjoyed Hellfire more than d2; and gameplay-wise, Revenant was way better than Diablo.

i actually was talking about D3 and not the other 2.

I don't generally like these kinds of games, and I liked it a LOT. Active community, and a fun game, IMO. I haven't picked it up in awhile, but I know when I do, I'll get sucked in for another weeklong, 10-hour haul.

Very much like Diablo, made from the same people if I recall, that said Path Of Exile is free and its amazing also...

Try the demo and you'll see. I think its enjoyable and worth buying if you like these type of games.

It won't be a waste of your money, it has a lot of content for what they are asking, even the original price.
Also, its a lot different to the first one; 2 makes 1 look like a prototype of sorts.

Yes, great game (if you like dungeon crawlers) it has a good "end-game" time with the mapworks, basically infinite semi-random dungeons with special features (better loot, powerfull enemies, elemental enemies, or other stuff like, you are constantly loosing life, etc)... also the game is full of mods, to change almost everything, and it has workshop, so a few clicks and you are playing the mods. the game have separated folders for modded and not modded game, so you can screw things up with the mods without afecting your vainilla play, if you want.
Great game, great community, you should get it if you like the genre.
also try Path of exile, is an awesome and free dungeon crawler with nice twists: all the skills are coming from equipable gems, no cash system, and the

The Torchlight II sale is almost over, and I'm considering buying the bundle to share with a couple of my friends. However, I don't know too much about the series and am conflicted over whether or not it is worth buying. So is Torchlight II a game that has the ability to waste a ton of money, or is it just another generic Diablo game that I should skip and wait for something better?
