Not really. It didn't crash once on my system.

Crashes on your system every few races, everyone I know that has it has not had this problem at all. A crash here and there maybe, but very rare just like many other games out there.

I would look into issues with your system first before just blaming the game.

i just bought one and it never asked me for such things. i registered with name & address and then paid with paypal.

Yeah, I went to make a Dirt 2 GA about 6-8 weeks ago but it seems that as soon as Steam remove something from the store, so do SG from the giveaway list. I had asked to get some other removed games or DLC's back on the list at around the same time (which they will do if you send a ticket) and didn't want to bother them again with another request.
