lolno
I started with Gameboy(Tetris, Fortified Zone) and SNES (Mario, Legend of Zelda, and a few others). Sadly, none of them are available at Steam :(

i think one of my first games was a sonic game..
some of my best memories are from Sword of Vermillion, though

First games ever where on coin up machines. Some beat 'em up games. First computer games where pirated versions for Atari 650XE (Tarzan is the only title i remember). Then there was Pegasus (clone of Famicon). Tons of games there with Contra being on the top :D. On PC it was Prince of Persia.
None available :(

I'm pretty sure they don't have any of the games I've played pre-PC. Which aren't really that many... I guess I'd be funny if the classic Super Mario Bros was on Steam. :P
They don't have my first PC game either- Black & White, so... yea, the answer is "Nope, not really.". ^_^

None of my first games are on steam unfortunately. All of them were NES games. I think it's about time I find myself an NES and some of those old games. I miss the original Legend of Zelda and The Adventure of Link

My first console was SNES, so nope. But there is one of my first PC games, Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood

Steam doesn't have mine. Megarace, and Red Alert 1.

Because Megarace was a awful racing game when I played it on my Mega CD. I can't imaging what kind of horrible childhood you would need to have for that to be a fond memory of the past.

however you can just go to www.redalert1.com and download it for free. they released it as a free download a few years ago and it works well and there are still quite a few people online.

Ok I feel proper old now.. first game I ever played was pong! This one : Pong on your TV After that it was things like Hungry Horace and Dizzy on the Sinclair Spectrum! Earliest stuff that I owned and you can buy on steam is probably the Sega master system stuff.

my first videogames used to run on a vic-20, i was quite a child and i have not so many memories about them, besides things like galaga. then it was the c=64, which was the best gaming machine back then: many awesome games such as the ssi rpgs or some platformers but none available on steam afaik (yet you can get some of them on your iphone pretty easily). then it was the amiga, which was the best gaming machine back then: way many awesome games and some are on steam: some lucasarts adventures, recently another world, and probably some beat em up such as double dragon.
i wish they port sometimes to steam some old time gems like defender of the crown or wings or outrun or r-type.

The C-64 followed by the Amiga was the beginning of my home computer days. Some really great games and some that were a little different (anyone remember Hovver Bovver?). Loading a cassette tape into the drive and then waiting around for the game to load and being jealous of the friends that had the 5.25 inch disk drives because they didn't have to rewind the tapes after playing a game.
Ah, good times.

Oh man, I remember playing this and Spider-Man: The Sinister Six. Playing as Spiderman in full 3D was too amazing to be put into words.
Edit: I've searched a bit and it turns out I still have the discs. Whoot!

No
[edit] (Probably the oldest one on Steam that I played back when it was first released would be the first Commander Keen -- played through to the ending on that one and its sequel... don't remember if I ever finished the third one or even ever played the fourth.) [/edit]

I was thinking about this some more. One of my favorite, all-time games, was Maniac Mansion. I remember playing it when I was like 5. I always wanted it to be remade, but it never has been. Anyway, it would cross my mind all the time that I really loved that game. Not too long ago, I read about The Cave and thought, "Man, that sounds like a game similar to Maniac Mansion". Then I read after that, they got the guy that did Maniac Mansion to work on it. Maybe it isn't the same game, but I still respect that.
Another of my favorite Nintendo games was Ducktales, which is being remastered. Capcom is handling it, so it will probably be on Steam. Maybe I will get one back, after all.

My first game on PC that I loved was probably Gex: Enter the Gecko, or Age of Empires. Neither are on Steam. :(

I recently noticed that I have created 99 giveaways on this site, so I wanted to do something to celebrate 100+. Since Steam has a number of Mega Drive games available, I decided I'd purchase several of those, some of the earliest titles that I played when I was getting into games (only preceded by a Sega SG-1000 which doesn't have games available on Steam). While I'm unable to get Cyborg Justice, other titles like Sonic the Hedgehog, Shining Force, Columns and Streets of Rage are listed in the Steam store. Perfect for what I was planning.
Made me curious if other users here can find their first games on Steam.
And no giveaways in this topic. I don't get paid for a few more days, I'm just working out how much dosh I'd need for my plans.
