woa, same here. but if you check again, those are scheduled updates. if you start any of those you'll see there's an actual size for each. just allowed Hacknet to update and the filesize is 40mb

yeah, i went on with the updates and a lot of those really are 0 bytes. My bad. The first 3 I allowed to update had an actual size (Hacknet, Hotline Miami and Grid 2).

Yeah, it's been that way for a couple weeks....

This has been going on for awhile now :/. No idea what the logic is behind it nor is there any indication that this is going to be fixed :/.

Well you have a pretty small inventory, at least at the moment, so you might not realize the huge stress it seems to take on the servers loading 1000+ item inventories -- and is probably a reason why there's no direct sorting options as that would require more metadata being stored and read/writes in general.

And you can't see my inventory because it is private. If you are going to try and offer insights into stuff at least make sure you know what you are talking about first. That's twice.
As far as the stress goes, that is a fair point. However if there are filtering options then surely sorting is feasible. Not to mention that I can click on someone profile's to see their entire list of thousands of games in their library and can sort that. What does that do for stress? Valve has plenty of money and resources, that is for sure. Instead what we are left with is an inventory system that has been broken for ages and has yet to be fixed. I am referring to the "inventory is not available at this time" issue that has been going on for several months now.

You have 136 items in your inventory. The amount of items in your inventory cannot be made private, regardless of setting your inventory to private. You might need to take a piece of your own advice as it seems you're a little new to this.
With that being said, take care in your future endeavors.

Well the reality says differently, so the number you are seeing is incorrect. But if you want to trust what a broken system is showing you then that is your prerogative. I wouldn't trust anything at this point though. Hell, I can't even see in some friends' inventories at all despite having verified that the permissions are set correctly. It's like it's completely random with that aforementioned issue. Some shit is broke on Valve's end.
Good luck to you too though and have a nice life being petty.

Thank you for summoning Steam "support."
We TOTALLY read and comprehend your problem.
Here is a list of potential fixes for your specific issue:

Oh yeah it's really annoying, especially when you are giving away multiple gifts of the same game. You send a gift to one user and then when you come back, your Inventory is rearranged! Now you do not know which game you just sent!

on the inventory page? I guess I missed that. Thanks!

You forgot about the missing / not loading wishlist ^^

Same problem. I bought 3 items last night. Then went to find them in my inventory this morning, went to the end of my Gifts inventory, where they would normally be, and they weren't' there! At first I panicked but then realized my entire inventory was completely rearranged (and not in any logical way).
This sucks, because it was so much better to see things in the order I'd acquired them, and new acquisitions being at the end of my inventory made them easy to find. I hope they fix this.
Better yet, give us inventory sorting options (date acquired, alphabetical, etc...)

Since the last update, when you buy/send/receive any gift or maybe even steam item the whole gift inventory gets randomly rearranged.
I'd bet a TF2 Key that is on purpose, to cripple a specific kind of "trade-ability" even further > you send a gift to an user/mail > enjoy clicking the next one out of 300+ or way more gifts lol, which you might've already "processed".

you can filter the inventory items by name. I'd say it's something temporary that they'll fix sooner or later

I'd rather my inventory randomly re-sort than the issue I've been having. Randomly, my entire inventory of one appid category (so, entire Steam inventory, or entire Battleblock inventory) will completely vanish, to the extent of not being recognized in trades or on market; only way to fix is to buy or be gifted an item in that category.

Just noticed today that my Steam gift inventory was rearranged. Kind of annoying, because it used to be arranged in the order I bought/received the gifts, but now it seems to be random. Any idea how this happened?
