Till the release of "Rights of Man" my answer would have been Crusader Kings 2. But I think since that DLC Europa Universalis 4 is the better game.

Try to get your hands on Overlord + Raising Hell , it has the "it's good to be bad" feeling to it with some actually well written quests, storyline and fun fantasy world with a lot of detail to it :)

Right now? Marvel Heroes. For all its flaws (and there are many), I still play it almost every day.
The other game I play all the time is Crusaders of the Lost Idols, which is an idle/clicker game but surprisingly engaging.
And the third f2p game that I love a lot: Creativerse.
Of all time though? Probably Vagrant Story :)

As far as story and playstyle it would be the Witcher series. Hours played by a long shot is Marvel Heroes 2016. The Darksiders series is also a favorite. Pretty much any hack/slash/rpg that attempts to tell a story, I'll check out. So not to hijack the thread, would love to hear some of y'alls ideas.

Have you tried Grim Dawn yet? I haven't yet, but I'm sure that's the one I'll try if/when I quit MH and need a new ARPG fix.

I'm one of the few that is still having a good time with MH but I've only got 3 years invested in it lol. I do have Grim Dawn and although I've only played a short time I would recommend it. It's feels like it's got potential. I've also got Van Helsing and the Elder Scrolls games waiting for me as soon as they add another 6 hours or so to the day. Thanks for the input, appreciate it.

there are some i loved: Shadowman, Bloodrayne 1and 2, Arx fatalis,Mafia 1, Deus Ex,The Witcher1...and in MMORPG the good old days passed on Dark Age of Camelot..sadly isn't f2p and i don't want to spend a montly fee anymore
