Asking to be given a game is begging. And it's not really possible to distinguish between someone who's begging and someone who's acting exactly as if they were begging (unless they were actually offered the game and then refused to accept it). It's easy to dismiss begging as just a joke when it doesn't work. Also, even joke begging could encourage people to beg for real.
