Are people afraid that they'll run out of keys? Or is everyone just pre-ordering in case they don't get online during the week that it is available?

I see no reason to pre-order... unless you won't be able to get online. I think I'll wait to see what games are in the bundle first.

I'm glad they changed the date, I would not be able to buy it at release with the old date

but I'm not going to pay for what is in the box, last bundle wasn't interesting for me. I'd rather pay 5 bucks later for games I want, than 4 bucks now for games I don't care about.

The odd thing is that, looking at the stats for the previous one, the price wasn't above $3.99 for that long. Several dips ensure that it stayed below $3.99 for awhile at times. So the pre-order is a 'hedge your bet' kind of thing. Though you seem to be hedging on the high side.

But! The previous one started at $2, and this one will start at $3.

"Incidentally, 'Really Big' in its title is a reference to one of the included games and the scope/genre of the others, "
Anyone have any idea what this could be? I can't think of any indie games which have something to do with something and its size specifically.

Type "really big" into Google with suggestions turned on.

It should become extremely obvious.

+1
liked it better when there was a countdown and could make a decision based on the content

... after having a nap and possibly reading a good book while they trip over the servers and accidentally spray each other with fire extinguishers in a comical fashion.

You still can decide based on the content, they're simply offering preorders as an option. The countdown is gone becuase they will no longer to fortnightly releases (every 14 days) instead they'll probably span them out a bit more, or possibly have more than one going at the same time according to www.indieroyale.com/bundle/

heads to site
Really Big Bundle - Preorder Right Now
Xmas Bundle - 3 weeks Until Served
Alpha Fund Bundle - 5 weeks Until Served

I think maybe you should've paid a little more attention, just because the timers are gone doesn't mean they aren't fortnightly any more.

It should be like this

$1500 in pre-orders: reveal first game

$5000 in pre-orders: reveal second game

$15,000 in pre-orders: reveal third game

$50,000 in pre-orders: reveal fourth game

Going to wait till it launches.
Why?

So I KNOW what I'm buying and so I get it cheaper.

I think they can give you refund if you don't like the bundle.

Yeah, they mention it in the faqs. I don't see why so so many ppl get their balls in a twist when they'll give a refund if a buyer isn't satisfied. The ppl behind this bundle aren't robots sent back in time to enslave our wallets. :/

I'm the kind of person who compulsively checks these sites anyways to see when the sale starts, so I'll probably wait to both see what I'm getting and save a dollar if I like what I see.

If you pre-order it and you're not satisfied with the games then give it to someone else. Bloody hell people.
