Q: if you won a giveaway....

Hi,

I'm so curious about this, what if someone won a giveaway and he doesn't use it, can he still win the same giveaway? Lets say he gave away what he won, can he still enter to the same game giveaways?

If you win a giveaway you must activate your win. To not do so is against the rules.

This is kind of interesting... I gave that Ace Combat game and don't think it's region locked. Bought it from Steam and am from Singapore if it helps find a solution for him to activate it.

what it it just sits in his inventory and he hasn't activated it yet, could he still win the same game again and have 2 copies in his inventory?

When you win a giveaway, you mark it received. And even if you don't, the giver can have it marked received via support. All winnings goes onto your SG profile. If people see that you do this twice, you will have to deal with support.

In addition, if you never activate your winnings, you will have to deal with support for Unactivated Wins.

So yes, people can do what you suggest. They just won't be here for very long.

Because some groups have very few people in it, or ratio rules that require that you gift as many games as you win, or... I don't know.

edit : And you should not mark that Ace Combat Assault Horizon as received if you haven't been able to activate it. It's up to the gifter to provide a region-free game.

It is possible to win the same game more than once and it is justified only in case of previous win being not received (for any reason gifter did not have a game to give - and you did mark it as not received). Otherwise (winning and receiving more than 1 copy of a game on sg) it is bannable. Also every win have to be activated on account linked to sg profile (no regifting, no trading, no "I wanted to win it for my friend" etc). Again going against those rules gives you nice time off the site and a place in some blacklists (as some do not want in their giveaways people who don't want the given game)

people anyone comment some useless posts! I just want you to know that me and the gifted already sent a support ticket, most of your comments are unnesesary and not helping.. Therefor I am closing this thread and let the mods decide on what to do with it.
