I've chosen the bird, but I wonder what implications choosing the cage will have.

All it changes is the dialogue right there and what she's wearing for the rest of the game, or so I hear.

On the first playthrough I've chosen the bird but on the second one I've chosen the cage. Doesn't really make any difference.

i chose bird as i thought i would affect the ending like in the first 2 but doesn't really make a difference does it

To people who are surprised/dont know the choices in this game are meaningless haven't you noticed that the game deals with the thought of 'choice is merely an illusion' in video games medium primarily? Constantly a cutscene breaks only for you only to press a button to continue onto the next one.You are given no timer and a freedom to move before pressing the button but there is nothing you can do that would change the course of the story.At one point Dewitt even gets told "you are only complicating the narrative" which is of course a stab at the player.

It also mentions there always being a constant and a variable. Variable being which broach to pick and the constant being the heads when flipping the coin at the start. I could elaborate but i dont want to spoil the end

Edit: for those who have completed it I would consider going over it again, the story/ending has so many levels to it its possible you missed something awesome
