I've noticed that after I found out SteamGifts, I'm reluctant to give extra copies of my games to friends anymore, because I can get contributor value if I submit them here. Have this happened to anyone of you here too? Just wondering if I'm really that selfish and am the only one, or everyone else is too :)

Yes, that seems to be the best option so far.

But remember it would have to have 1 more friend than the number of copies (As a 100% chance doesnt give CV)

You seriously care about CV more than friends? .__.

I'm sure you aren't the only one, but no, not everyone are like that, not even close. (at least I hope so)

This.

The problem is that what you get from being nice to RL friends isn't summed up in a number so you don't really see it. But nonetheless you get something from it. It is called ... affection or something like that. That's at least what I read on the internet.

Who cares, all hail SG! :P

I don't have any irl friends on Steam so that makes it easier. However, I'll still gift Steam buddies the odd game if it's on their wishlist and I come across a spare.

I've actually only done it twice since joining SG, which wasn't that long ago, but I think I'll continue to do so.

Is it a multiplayer game you can play coop/team-based match/quest with your friend(s)? If yes, I highly recommend giving it to them to play together with you. However, you may consider the option of making a private giveaway to your friends only, but that does sound a little rule-breaking.

I only really know a couple of people that I really consider friends on Steam. Most of the people on my lists I have never met (and almost certainly never will). I've given some mates bundle keys I have spare, and I probably always will give them a key every now & again. Anything non-bundle goes on here or Playblink though.
