If you really think it was you and not just a coincidence (which i find more likely), you can contact admins either on igiveup@itstoohard.com or through their steam profile/group http://steamcommunity.com/groups/itstoohard

Thank you, I will try that. I really think I did something, not just because of the downtime, but also the database error that I now have...

I'm also getting "database error" when I try to see the solution of my puzzle or try to edit it.

Yes, it is working fine for me too. The downtime was for everyone but short. The issue is somewhere else, if you read the OP you'll see that everything works except for my profile page, that now gives a "database error".

No, I didn't do that, I don't understand. But I did kind of "misuse" the site (again, not on purpose).

if you don't understand then i'm 100% sure you don't have anything to do with istoohard problems

Are you saying that only people with html/coding knowledge are likely to cause bugs/ crashes to a website ?
You don't know what I was trying to do. Not saying that I'm responsible for sure but I did do something unusual as an user.
edit : I'm 90% sure you're right and I have nothing to do with this, but the coincidence is just a bit weird to me.

It's an attempt at a SQL injection.
Trying to activate some code that may affect the site's database.

I messaged the itstoohard staff about the problem, if they tell me I did not cause it I might post what made me think I was responsible.

Earlier today, I wanted to put a puzzle online and made something unusual on itstoohard, and I think I broke it for a while. The website started getting very slow, so I checked on an "is it down for everyone" website and it told me the site was down for everyone.
What I did was - I think - likely to break the site, I think (I won't tell it because I don't want people to try it for fun).
Then, the site got back and I tried to post my puzzle again. The "save puzzle" did not respond.
Now, whenever I try to access my user page, I see a "database error" message. I can still log out and log in again, but I can't access my page or make new puzzles, as the "save puzzle" button doesn't work anymore.
