Can't :( It identifies it as being BF3 key but then it gives me an error "An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later."

So I registered an Origin account just to realise it doesn't work anymore... :(

Most likely EA's servers are now being raped by thousands of users trying to activate the key.

The same history was during Humble EA Bundle.

I'd recommend to continue trying till you succeed. You can do it via browser as well
