Is it ok to post reports from other sites (such as SteamRep) here or would it be considered calling out, even if it has nothing to do with SteamGifts/SteamTrades? What if the report is closed (accepted or refused)? What about the pending reports?

Would someone be punished by the mighty banhammer for posting a link to a report or support wouldn't bother with it?

far as the mods are concerned, its calling out to name ANYONE for anything, its not just steamgifts (or even steamtrades) related.

What if the person is judged "guilty", would it still be considered calling out?

If the person is already guilty then what would be the point of calling them out?

As a warning or something...
Also, it's not clear what "calling out" exactly is. It's too subjective.

Calling out is linking a person to something negative, true or just speculation.

If that's the case, any "I was scammed" thread would be considered calling out. Unless you hide/fake the "scammer" real nickname, of course.

In general they do, and if they don't then they are asked to remove the name and just make a support ticket.

Just use the report function in the giveaway or in the profile and move on. If you want to write something in the report, do it from the user's profile.

I'm not talking about violations that happen on SteamGifts, you know...

If I say sth like my dad hit me today, is it considered calling out?

jk, yeah I was warned when I made a post about a scam on steamtrades without removing the scammer's steam name. it applies to pretty much anything in the network of steamgifts, steamtrades (there's also steamgamesales but I don't think there's any possible way to call out anyone from that site)

Why would you even want to even do this?
I mean I'd understand if it was on ST and you're interested in someone's trade offer and want to get their side of the story.

People on SteamTrades call out others for being scammers all the time.

Well, this isn't a moral debate, I was answering the OP's question. And yes, it seems to be okay since those people are never suspended. I will say they typically show proof the person's a scammer, so they at least think they're being appropriate and following the rules.

Personally I think it's a stupid rule. But w/e. :]
