Terraria and FTL are great games you can sink hundreds of hours into but they are all-time-classics and might not be everyone's cup of tea.

They are two of the best games ever made IMO, and both super cheap and will run on practically any PC.
Buying them on sale you can get both for about $4 USD total.
I have 750 hours in Terraria and about 210 in FTL. Very good investments.

Best games ever made are: The Ultimate Doom, Doom 2 and Final Doom.
FTL would be a great game if it wasn't so dependent on the RNG. The fact that you can't fully explore the game but have to run away from the fleet just makes the game even more dependent on the RNG. If you want to beat the last boss you really need to get good stuff on your way, you can't beat him with just any build no matter how good you are.

get the delayed fleet mod for it... makes the game infinitely more enjoyable... can explore every planet, and much higher chances of being geared properly by the end.

That's basically cheating though. And I'm against cheating, even in single player games.
I think developers should have made the whole running-away-from-enemy-fleet optional. That way the more hardcore players and masochists could still play that way, but everyone else can just enjoy a more fair game.

Any good HOG, To the Moon, 12 Labours of Hercules series, Finding Teddy, Gomo, Hero of the Kingdom I and II, Poker Night 1-2, Puzzle Agent 1-2, The Detail, The Journey Down Chapter One and Two, The Last Door, The Tiny Bang Story, Ticket to Ride… these are the sub-10 dollar games I have played and found them really fun and enjoyable.

I know it's just a hair over ten bucks, but Dungeonmans is on sale for $10.04. It's a true(er) rogue-like, in the current world of action, bullet-hell, shoot-em up games with roguelike elements that get tagged as rogue-likes.

Tomb Raider GOTY it's on sale atm for $ 5.99 it certainly is a great game!
Of course it's not so high up on the wishlists and many people already have it. but I wouldn't spend $ 10 on Terraria or any other bundled game that has regular sales.

I'm looking in to opening another Steam account for using on the market, since I can't on my account (long story). In order to do that, I need to use at least $5 on the Steam store, so I thought, why not give away something? However, I'm having trouble picking something.
