Well, it may be normal, but I'm not sure it's a good thing.
As I grow older, I'm not sure I get wise. But I definitely have the feeling that talking about what makes you miserable doesn't actually help. It keeps you in your sad state a little longer and it brings whoever you're talking to into it.
Man up and walk through it. Force yourself to smile and to enjoy whatever joyful thing you've got in life and make that more important than it actually is. Focus on what's good, and don't linger on what's bad. That's the advice I would give my younger self.

You need both in your life. You can't just dwell on your sadness and let it swallow you, but you also can't just ignore it forever - repressed feelings are rarely fun. I think it's best to just face the things that bother you, recognize and know them, and then move on. And by talking about them you can help others do that, too. Of course if you don't want to you don't have to. But there's nothing wrong with it, is what I'm saying. Maybe add a warning at the start so that people who are bothered by that kind of stuff know to skip and not read it.

Even though the train was short, but it was a good train.
