You paste the link just as you would a regular key when you create a GA here :-)

Yes. The winner can then enter his email id link and claim it.

whoever get the link, have control of gift... you just give the link to the person who have it receive the gift. :)
(and I don't think there's a way to know who redeemed the gift... you just know that gift was redeemed.)

no. you can enter yourself in the gift link and you will see if you can sign your email to receive it or if it was redeemed (you'll see no email field with a message that gift was already claimed)

I wondering the same thing.
I sent 2 links to winners and they told me the key have been claimed by someone. I suggest you get the key and give them the key not the link. Their support not reply for 2 weeks. :(

I think it is the system. Because 2 of the winners got the same problem at the same time.

It's an issue with HB, or more precisely was an issue for some time. Links cannot give you duplicate keys unless the site itself made an error. This is why links are always considered more valuable in trades too, because they have a 100% guarantee that they'll work.

As the others said. I just wanted to add, that you don't receive a steam-gift in your steam inventory, if you claim the link yourself. Instead the game-key will just get added to your HB account - again.

What navaro told you here is not true, you can still gift the key.

No, the key will be added to your HB library, but you could still copy the key and send it to someone. But you could no longer make a HB link out of it (if that's your question :) )
When you or that person adds the key to his/her steam library it becomes redeemed.

Ive bought a game as a gift, when I entered the link, Steamgifts didnt recognize the link.

Contacted support about it, with pictures from the mail and blacked out last part of the links.
So they saw something like Humblebundle.com/gift/"blacked out part" or however the link looks like ^^

Support said to just make GA, and provide the link in chat on steam, still have to make the GA though.

it's safer if you add the winner and give the link on the chat.
you can screenshot it and have proof for support in case the user claims he didn't get the key or something like that.
