Cave Story+ Impressions

It's a fun nostalgic little game. It's a pain to play without a gamepad, though.

Love it! The best of the bunch for me. I played a little bit of the free version, and so far, it's exactly the same ('cept for gfx of course).

it has updated graphics, updated soundtrack by the guy behind SMB and Isaac music and challenges, i think.
game itself is great, but picks up only after some time, loved it ^^ /me feels proud paid the full price for it on steam :D

Cave story+ is more interesting than i though..

Badass game, although the new music sucks, the new graphics are ok.

The "Hell" level is a pain in the ass.

I bought it before humble bundle 4,it's an awesome game,worth the full price.

Yeah I played the original version it was awesome back then and still awesome today.
I just wish that they make a squeal instead of remaking the game for like the fourth time already.

Its the reason i paid fullprice HiB tbh . I pirated it at first played one level and when i saw the game on HiB i delted it and downloaded the original becouse it was worth the money and that developers deservers the money. Loving the game , also lol @ how u get achievements every bossfight and item pick up .

Iunno. A nice guy in the FP forums gifted me the non-above-average version, and since CS+ didn't come I just assume it's charging 10 dollars more because it adds Steam support.

Wow, I was thinking the same thing. I was seriously impressed by the game as well, that's why the old games where fun, not because the fact they where side scrolling, but people had original ideas story wise, and actually tried to make good games.

The Cave Story+ is a remastered version , with better graphic , new mode and other thing , i only played the free version , there are also three to four ending in free version, the number of weapons are the same too(10). Most of the weapon is stronger when higher level but one of the weapon is stronger when level is lower. most of the part is not difficult except one.i am not sure. but the plot of the original mode seen to be the same , also , free version can be made into other language(Already made by other) , but the Cave Story+ may not(If it being made , it will harm the right of developer.). There are four specials starting scene if you break the game fill with requirement in free version.
To Jonex : Do you find Mister Little ?If you find him and return him , you can exchange a weapon(As i remember , you need to use a sword), to another one(The one stronger when lower level).
