[Updated] New Currencies are coming to steam in between October 2015 and March 2016

Starting later this year, Steam will begin supporting local currencies and payment methods for some additional countries. The rollout will occur over Q4 2015 and Q1 2016 for the following currencies:

South Korean Won (KRW)
Swiss Franc (CHF)
Indian Rupee (INR)
Chinese Yuan Renminbi (CNY)
Chilean Peso (CLP)
Peruvian Nuevo Sol (PEN)
Colombian Peso (COP)
South African Rand (ZAR)
Taiwan New Dollar (TWD)
Saudi Riyal (SAR)
Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)
Taiwan New Dollar (TWD)
United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED)

Late or not, many people haven't seen it.
I guess bump could have worked, but I see nothing wrong with this either.

Edit: I also can't see any sources on that thread, apart from reddit.

I didn't mean to pay in a different currency, but to have a viable paying policy.
A triple AAA title is 10-20% of the monthly salary (for the few that can have a job).

We got the same in Poland, yet no one seems to notice. Most people here earn 300-500€, and new mainstream games are 50€ on Steam.

Actually there are 2 European pricing tiers (used to be 3), but only Valve games have different prices according to them. Every other publisher just makes their price the same. Valve should make them somehow use the different EU tiers.

Alternatively I would support a pricing scheme where the whole world pays the same and without region restrictions (like GOG once had). Then it's at least fair.

Not always, especially if our region would get price adjustments. Paying 50-60 Euros for a new game with average middle class salary around 300-600 around here is nearly impossible. I'm not asking for RU/CIS prices, but it is ridiculous that Norwegians and Japanese, both with GDP per capita like ten times higher, get 20-30% better deals on ROW games just because currency adjustments.

Same reason there's not going to be Polish złoty, Hungarian forint, or Romanian leu - they are meant to be replaced with Euro. Even if it doesn't actually go through in any of these countries, Valve prefers to play it safe and not bother with currencies that are going to become obsolete anyway.

One thing that worries me though will all the different currencie will we see more countries/regions restriction in the future????

Hopefully Chine Renminbi prices are good ones.

Yeah, true. NZ recently got their dollar & some games turned out to be cheaper, If I remember correctly. I hope we don't get screwed over, but considering how things are with use, it's probably inevitable.

I guess we won't be seeing our dollar until late next year, or even in 2017 as the case has been delayed until March 2016 because Valve called in "sick", apparently. lol

I'm not sure should I be happy or not that my country isn't getting its currency added on steam. I wonder would the price go up or down if they do and would games bought in my country be regionally restricted if we get our currency up there.
