Never heard of it, but just tried it. Also doesn't work as 45% is locked in VBIOS. Thanks!

Hmm okay.
Well the cheapest solution, would be to buy a noise-insulated tower.
Otherwise, most new cards are not that silent...
Maybe try silent cooling?

But the prices are beyond good and evil at the time...

Yeah, I'll read some reviews about some silent cooled cards. Dammit, good old GTX 770, why did you have to die?

Sounds good! Is on the list for a closer look. Thanks.

I have the single fan version of the Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti and the fans are at 0rpm when not playing. Even when playing most games I still can't hear the fan apart from the occasional time when it needs to spin up a little more.

Thanks. I also think, that a single fan is not too loud for gaming ... but I cannont see a reason to blow a card that cold with no load. This is a Zotac fail I think.

Yeah Zotac is not the greatest and that is definitely a fail. Mine doesn't even switch the fans on until it's well past 40.

also I don't need a bigger card
Length or higher tier? My reply is assuming the former.
IIRC, you'll need to get a dual fan card to get the "idle fan" option. I know Gigabyte, EVGA, and MSI offer cards with silent fan options, and probably others. I don't believe any of the minis have that feature.

VERY good hint, thanks! Then I will get a longer, dual fan card.
It is only to replace my old defective card. No higher tier needed. Btw. I think, the power of the 1050Ti is awesome for what you pay.

Thanks :) I think prices a slightly better these days ...

Just got a 1050 Ti myself, an Asus Expedition. Fans don't kick in till it goes above a certain temperature and even at that point it's supposed to be 0dB. Not sure how accurate that actually is though as there's a 200mm fan in the side of my case which isn't silent but UI can't hear it otver the case fan.

45% in BIOS? That sounds like a defect, I thought it was supposed to be 20%?

No, according to ZOTAC Germany Support this is correct ;-)

Have you tried setting the graphics card to adaptive in Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Power management mode > Adaptive

Didn't but thanks! But this setting will not work I assume, as the 45% minimum speed is locked in the VBIOS.

Hi there,
I recently got a Zotac 1050Ti Mini graphics card and I have a problem with it.
It is too loud for my needs as the fan is locked to 45% speed and won't go below this, even with MSI afterburner and similar tools.
So i'd like to return and get another one. This is why I need YOUR opinion.
Does anyone of you own or know a model this is good and has a zero fan mode or even can control fans like I want?
Thanks in advance for your hints and suggestions!
PS: sorry no gib atm and also I don't need a bigger card ^^
