Good reminder. Instead of focusing on what we lack, we should be remembering what we have.

I'm in a foreign country. Found a job recently. Hurt my back. More precisely, my spinal cord. Ended up in the hospital, plenty expensive tests, scans etc, monday i have a nuclear scan, in the best case i can come back home in a few days for 6 weeks of antibiotics ( the pouch ones that go straight in your blood, not the pharmacy pills ). Worst case i cannot use my legs anymore, but that should be avoided by an expensive surgery. Of course the joke is that i do not have an insurance, not enough money for even a day at the hospital ( but they still take care of me fortunately, i will have to pay after ). Of course being at the hospital means i don't have the job anymore. Nor for at best the next two months.
I am ok with it, i got trought some shit before so i keep the smile no problem, but given that it's the christmas period, instead of whishing you guys good stuff, i tought i'd tell you about this and instead of whishing good future stuff, appreciate what you have,
good health, familly or friends by your side, enough money for your needs... basic simple things. You might not need the best present this christmas. You might already have it.
Merry Christmas
