Torchlight II ?

The engineer is a good all rounder. It has both melee and ranged combat.

YES, Totally recommended, I tried gifting it to my GF (Pre-order one) on her bday and she loved it.

hm, torchlight 2 is great man, but i must say is a loot-driven game, and especially for girls might be not the best option. Try some fun games, for example, i know tons of girls that loves Bomberman from Snes, is a great game, simples, fast and funny. My gf loves Jamestown theres on steam also. gl with that :)

Torchlight is definitely a good indie game. No need for a high end pc, it might not be a decent gift for a casual player.

if she does not play that much, and you are getting it for her so she will play... might not be a great idea because she will be pressured to play, even if she really does not want to, just to make you happy. if shes nothing like that, sure heh. =D

I didn't like it much but it was more due to a lack of likeing the genre than the game. The people I was playing with loved it though.
