There is some certain games that I like to have on my account (GTA2, Wolfenstein 2009, Chronicles of Riddick, Prey 2006 etc.), but they are deleted from the steam (or hidden - I'm not sure). I've read at several forums that several years ago if you bought a bundle of GTA games, you've got GTA and GTA2, but now such a thing is unavailable. There also were some posts about buying bundled games, that were deleted at steam, but, of course, those links were several years old. So, I'm curious - is there any way to get those games, or my only course of action is just patiently wait when they appear on GOG?

Prey (2006) is easily available on grey market sites for little more than a buck. There's even a very good mod available allowing to run Prey flawlessly in widescreen with enhanced graphics on Win10.
For GTA2 there's a bundle including this game costing above 200 bucks.
Wolfenstein(2009) and Riddick are only available from traders afaik

200 bucks? That's a bit too much. Where's that?

I don't think that site is properly licensed by Rockstar...

Something like that was at the official rockstar site, but it didn't work - it was just plainly broken. Thanks for the link, I'll check it.

As far as I know R* removed the free versions of 1 & 2 from their site a while ago. I think I read about it somewhere in a GTA Steam review. Or maybe it was #2

Yeah. I saw it somewhere too. But, anyway, I've checked rockstar site myself - there was page with giveaway, but it was broken.

i don't know if you can do it on itad, but gg.deals has an option to enable searching for prices on grey market sites.
from the games you listed i could only find prey and maybe riddick.. i don't know if it's the same game you're looking for.
prey is under $2 from the keyshop websites like kinguin and eneba.

I guess kinguin and eneba are those "grey" sites, right?

You might still be able to get GTA 1 & 2 for a reasonable price as part of old GTA Collection keys but AFAIK Wolfenstein 2009 is one of the most expensive removed games on Steam. Think 300 - 500 dollar region.

If anybody has a better idea what Wolfenstein goes for nowadays I'd be curious to know. I don't intend to buy it but I'd still like to know.

Last I heard - 1500$ per key.

😅😆

Lol That's amazing! It's not even supposed to be an exceptional game. But I know that's irrelevant when it comes to removed games.

Guess I'll stick to Zombie Army 4 then for my Nazi killing needs.

Same thing. But Zombie Army 3 :D

It's pretty awesome 😅 My buddies and I got it for free from PS+ and less than a week later all 3 of us had both Season passes 😆

That's how you profit from promotional freebies. Not like that Days Gone guy who blames us gamers for the market being oversaturated and his game (supposedly) being mediocre and buggy at release.

A guy on the Steam forums had Wolfenstein(2009) as gift in his inventory. His comment was "not under 500 bucks". Btw afaik there's a Steam group dedicated to trading games pulled from the store. Unfortunately I don't remember the name.

Thanks 😉

I know prices are not set in stone for removed games. It's basically it's worth what somebody is willing to pay. That's why most traders even refuse to price their removed games but rather ask for offers.

Yeah. That price was at 2017 :D
